WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

A grand hunt? A grand prize? This was most certainly an opportunity that couldn't be passed up by any mage looking to make a name for themselves. As such there were certain to be countless other individuals seeking to claim victory for themselves, but that wasn't much of a concern for the muscular mage. The man simply radiated confidence as he carefully navigated the rainforest, his lips curled into a calm and self assured smile. Every step was taken with care, but it wasn't just because of the difficult terrain. He also had to move with caution if he wanted to avoid snagging his fine silk shirt or the long embroidered skirt that hung from his waist.[break][break]
Everything seemed to be going just fine thus far, aside from the humidity of the forest causing his usually luxurious hair to frizz ever so slightly. It was frustrating, but not something he could let slow him down on such an important occasion. Unfortunately as he went on the thought would continue to dominate his mind, making it difficult to focus on his surroundings as he moved deeper and deeper into the dangerous territory. Perhaps that was why the sound of the nearby rustling bushes prompted such a reaction.[break][break]
Smokey eyes shot wide open as he quickly turned to the source of the sound, a hint of fear on his face as his lips parted to take in a sharp breath. Without hesitation he would shout at the top of his lungs, his stance widening and fists clenching as he brought them up in front of his face. He probably should have drawn the broad bladed greatsword sheathed on his back, but the brief moment of panic had already overtaken his better judgement. "Feel the might of the gods!" As he spoke his already musclebound upper body would suddenly swell with even more bulk, his arms seeming to suddenly gain an inhuman strength. "W-who goes there!? SHOW YOURSELF, COWARD!" As confident as the projected voice may have been it was difficult to miss the slight wavering of his words. If he wasn't reading himself for battle Romi would've been kicking himself for putting on such a display.
THEY SAY I GOTTA LEARN BUT NOBODY 'S HERE TO TEACH ME ―
The rainforest was an absolutely abysmal terrain. The luscious canopy above dripped tears to the ground, moistening the already muddied ground. The air itself was thick with water and heat, creating an atmosphere akin to soggy hell. Gordana proceeded through the thicket, pushing heavy foliage away from her path. Her dirtied black boots sunk with each step forward.
"Oh my god, I can't believe how fucking gross this is.." her low-toned, silky voice cut through the air. Gordana's mouth was uncharacteristically free of her cigar, which had refused to light.
Yet her motivations propelled her forward, deeper into the pouring rainforest in search of some half-witted beast. The Water Dragon Festival was a good opportunity for the Rebecca Church in many ways. Though she left the reading of scripture and touching of spirits to the shinier representatives, her pursuit of faith was no lesser than theirs. Gordana knew it would mean something to participate in this playful hunt as a church mage, and if she could bring back the prize in tribute to the good name of Rebecca, well that would be just as well.
Unfortunately, Gordana was no tracker. The only hunting she did was for unpaid debts or other business-related endeavors in the city. She was out of her element, and nearly out of luck.
That is, until the dense greenery broke to reveal flecks of a grape-colored mane. Gordana pulled her boots from the mud and approached the unidentified squealer. She pushed the leaves aside, drips of water sliding onto her bare arms and black tank top as she drank up the view before her. It wasn't a beast at all, well, at least not the beast she was looking for. Though she wasn't complaining to have found this one.
"Hello handsome," she purred playfully, stepping forward and away from the thicket with a smirk on her colored lips. Gordana looked the man up and down, her gaze smoothing over the curves of his rippling muscles. She ran her hands through her slicked-back hair, "Aren't you a little big to sound so scared? Come on, I won't bite," Gordana moved closer.

Bellamy was certain that a few animals had come this way. He had no idea what he was hunting in this hunt, but he was sure that if he tracked an animal, the thing he was hunting would show itself. Thus, he carefully moved through the lightly pouring rainforest in search of any trace he could find. It was tough hunting animals in the rain, but at least Bellamy was able to follow the few mud trails that were left behind. [break][break]
For this "auspicious" event, Bellamy wore a black cloak over his frame to protect his hair from the weather. His throw away boots that he bought from a low-class store were perfect objects to protect him and not worry too much of dirtying his clothing. Though, just in case the situation led into that, Bellamy wore some old ripped pants that he could burn later. [break][break]
As Bellamy was walking through the forest, he heard the shrill screams of a man that sounded deathly afraid. Whoever this man was, Bellamy was sure he'd somehow gotten lost inside the rainforest, which was a terrible thing considering the dangerous creatures that might be roaming thanks to the event. Bellamy moved to follow the noise of the scared man until he came upon site. [break][break]
There were two people instead of one, one man and one woman. The man was heavily muscle bound and in a fighting stance while the woman was smirking crazily and in her hoochie stance. [break][break]
"What is going on hear?" Bellamy said as he walked towards the couple. "I heard the shrill screams of a lesser man and came to see what was all the fuss. Did you guys see a person that sounds like a coward around here anywhere? I must take him out of this rainforest before he gets himself killed."
The Pouring Rainforest had been influenced by magic, augmenting its usual territory. The Kingdom had also imported a variety of creatures to mesh with the artificial landscapes that are different to each group of participants. [break][break] The trumpets sound off, causing the local birds to fly away from the loud noise. This marks the beginning of the hunt. In front of you are three paths. Each leading to a different location. [break][break] The first path, the one to the left, is rich with Ethernano. Those with a strong sense for magic can feel the abundance of magical energy radiating from the path. It is lush with greenery, though it was unsure whether it was related to the potency of the Ethernano in the area. [break][break] The second path, the one right in front of the two hunters is not an easy one to traverse. It is a swamp, knee-deep and quite difficult to move through. However, if one of you decide to look at the path you will notice that it is quite a short way to the end. [break][break] The third path, the one to the right is a body of water. It requires the two of you to swim or utilize whatever magic you possess to get to the other side. There's movement in the body of water if either of you decides to look.
The unnatural swelling of the man's muscles would fade as the woman revealed herself, his arms returning to their usual level of definition. His posture would relax as well, his arms dropping down to his sides as he quickly looked her over. She wasn't taking any manner of threatening stance, which supported the idea that she was another mage seeking the prize promised for this little hunt that had been arranged. His head tilted upward as the words hummed past her lips, his brows raising slightly. Handsome? A pleased and proud smile graced his face as a hand moved to rest on his hip.[break][break]
"Hello yourself, beautiful. I must say it's truly a pleasure to meet a woman of good taste." As he spoke he would shake his head back and forth, causing his hair to lift and drift through the humid air before loosely falling back onto his shoulders. He would move to step forward to meet her advance, a hint of tension entering his smile as a soft breath escaped his nostrils. "You don't? How disappointing." His sharp eyes would meet hers, his head tilting slightly to one side. "What you interpreted as fear was merely anticipation and excitement for a prospective challenge. But you-"
His words were cut off by another individual that was attracted by his masculine battle cry. This one's words were far less appealing than the mysterious woman's audible appreciation for his flawless form. Lids would drop to narrow Romilda's gaze at Bellamy, the smile immediately vanishing from his lips. "I heard no such thing, stranger. Must have been the wind playing tricks on you." The previous joy and playfulness left his voice as he addressed the man, his words sounding much more stern as a hand moved to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear.[break][break]
Still, fate had brought this group together. Perhaps they would be the key to claiming victory in the challenge that was posed. His attention would turn to the split path that was laid out before them, his brows furrowing as he gave each one a brief scan. "I assume you two are both mages seeking victory in this challenge, yes?" He would pause to turn back toward the other two, his expression relaxing to a middle ground between his pleased smile and previous seriousness. "Come, let us work together. No use wasting time talking while countless other mages continue their hunt."
THEY SAY I GOTTA LEARN BUT NOBODY 'S HERE TO TEACH ME ―
The woman's harmless flirtations were not lost on the stranger. As a matter of fact, he reciprocated the sentiment for a time. She felt the release of his magic breath across the soggy folds of the trees, and held on to his provocative words. Gordana's black stained lips continued to smirk at the man while he closed the distance between them, holding his focused gaze within her own. And just when it was about to get good...
Another young lion with a gorgeously soaked mane strutted on the scene. Gordana slowly released her hold on the first. "Maybe later, big boy," she winked with a perfect smokey eye. She then turned to face the newcomer.
"Can't say I have," the woman shrugged, rain drops sliding down her neck. "Just us two uncommonly handsome mages making acquaintance. And now we have a third," she grinned, pulling her soaked locks tightly down her shoulders. "Though, let's be honest, neither of you quite measure up." Gordana gestured vaguely to her shape, her confidence bordering on insult. Though it was hard to tell if the woman was serious or not, she definitely wasn't joking.
Prompted by a genuine question, Gordana returned her topaz hues to the wild-haired man. "I've always been told not to assume anything, but yes. You would assume correctly," she droned in a smokey tone. "I'm Gordana Eads," a strong, manicured hand reached to shake her companions'.
"I'd be happy to join you boys on the hunt," Gordana offered, pleasure warming through her voice. The prospect of joining these tall drinks of water on the hunt was strategically and personally favorable. It was hard to think of a reason not to. "Unless of course, you were going to go that way," she pointed a finger in the direction of a muddy path, riddled with slime, sog, and bog. "In that case, you're on your own."

Bellamy felt that he was interrupting something here. Clearly these two peasants were busy letting their wild pheromones run wild through the air. Both of them looked like nothing but beasts in heat. This was why Bellamy could never connect with commoners (even though he was a commoner currently). They displayed their affection like wild mutts. They were just despicable. [break][break]
Yet, Bellamy did not blame them for their basic animalistic needs, thus he did not comment on them, instead choosing to look away and let them continue as they were. Was that a blush slowly growing on his face? Did you think he looked embarrassed by this public display? Well you're WRONG. He was just hot... Yes, the heat was getting to him. He wasn't prudish in the slightest... SHUT UP, YOU DON'T KNOW HIM! [break][break]
When the man responded to Bellamy's words, Bellamy shook his head and sighed. "No, no. I'm sure I heard a coward," Bellamy said. "It sounded like a tiny child that just wet his pants. He was probably very small and frail. A weakling maybe. A complete and utter scrawny, wimpy man. He's probably running around here crying like a baby. I just know it." [break][break]
Well, whatever. Bellamy would probably hear that child again later. He sounded so weak that Bellamy was sure he would scream once more. When he did, Bellamy would be there to guide the poor boy out of the forest- and probably demand his parents give him money for all of the trouble. [break][break]
The woman was quick to give her own response as well, telling of how these two men didn't measure up to her. This brought about a smile to Bellamy's face. "Is that so?" Bellamy commented with amusement. "Well then, we'll just have to see if that's true. I'm sure I can match any level you put on display, miss." It was a challenging and flirtatious undertone that Bellamy gave, though not too flirtatious. While he was a man and had his needs, he knew how to control his raging loins. He was a nobleman, after all, and nobles were meant to remain coy with everything. [break][break]
Suddenly, paths were presented before them. Bellamy nodded when the other man conjectured about Bellamy. He was a mage from Magia Dragon. He had powers that were heavenly. These two were lucky that he was now apart of their team. [break][break]
"I suppose it will not hurt to join forces. Come, let us walk the easier path." Bellamy pointed to the first way, where there was neither mud nor water, but blush greenery and a bit of Ethernano roaming in the air. "There must be a varying amount of beasts this way as well. We might be able to find a special one if we're lucky." [break][break]
Bellamy began walking down the first path, motioning other two to follow him. [break][break]
"Keep a lookout for that child as well. We can't ignore his wimpy weeps if we hear them." [break][break]
Thick arms would move to cross over his chest as he turned away from Gordana, his entire focus shifting over to Bellamy. The corners of his lips tilted downward into a slight smile as he insisted that there had been some terribly pathetic crying from inside the woods. Certainly his shout didn’t sound that bad, did it? No, that was impossible. Even at his lowest he had the booming voice of a god. If this man heard such a thing it most certainly didn’t come from him.[break][break]
Romilda let out a soft scoff as he glanced over to the black haired woman, his brows raising in amusement at her statement. ”Normally I respect such confidence, but neither of you can compare to my perfectly crafted form.” As he spoke he would unfold his arms, placing a hand on his bicep as he flexed the dense muscle. ”Perhaps after this is done we can compare notes to see whose beauty truly reigns supreme.” As he spoke he would turn to direct the words at Bellamy as well, his previous irritation seeming to vanish as his overflowing confidence took over his features.[break][break]
It would seem that despite each one of them seeming to feel that they were the true star of the show it would seem that they had met some form of agreement. They would work together to complete the challenge set before them. ”Romilda DePalo. A pleasure.” The introductions were brief, as they should be given the fact that they were working against the clock. Though it seemed that one of them had decided to play leader, walking off without giving his name.[break][break]
”I would hesitate to call it easier. I suspect that while it lacks any sort of environmental obstacle there is bound to be some manner of fierce creature lurking. Nevertheless, I agree. The other two options hold little appeal to me.” He didn’t quite feel like hiking up his skirt to cross the excessively muddy path, and his clothes were far too fine to risk ruining in that filthy water. Thus, whether it was the easier path or no, the first route was the only option he was willing to take.
If Gordana held any interest to the tense relationship forming between the two men, she may have said something to ease their anxieties. But frankly, she didn't give a fuck whether they liked each other or not. All the mages present were complete strangers, and were only loosely tied together by a similar goal. She didn't trust either of them to show an inch of competence in the hunt, yet forming a company seemed more favorable than proceeding alone. So long as their unreasonable hostilities didn't get in the way, that is.
After shaking the grape-flavored Hercules' hand, Gordana slid a lazy gaze toward the other mage. "Can you two stop talking nonsense about some make-believe kid so we can get down to business?"
It took the better part of ten seconds for the slimmer male to finesse his way into a leadership role. Gordana wasn't the type of woman to fall easily in line, especially behind a man that didn't lacked the common courtesy to introduce himself. It seemed strange, considering the way he held himself, with that pompous nobility. Looked like he had a rod up his ass.
Gordana was sure not to give this mage the illusion that he was in charge. With a confident step, she eased her way beside the fair-haired gentleman, keeping pace with his stride effortlessly. After all, they were of a similar size.
"Good to know we're all on the same page, boys," she commented playfully. Gordana allowed a few strands of jet-black hair to fall across her eyes as she began carrying herself over the stray roots, puddles, and vines that littered the path.
She wasn't a particular gifted mage; but what Gordana lacked in pure magical talent she made up for in quick wit and unwavering determination. All this considered, even the unskilled mage could sense a power shift in the atmosphere. It was no longer thick and sticky with moisture, but comfortable. Air broke warmly around her, bringing a modest heat to her soaked skin.
"You boys feeling that?" Gordana pondered aloud. "I don't know what the hell this air is laced with, but I think I'll package some up and take it home for later!" She grinned.

"My name is Bellamy, by the way," Bellamy stated as he walked ahead of the others. "Bellamy Grayberry." He had realized that he forgot to say his name, though not for the reason of rudeness. He just merely forgot to say anything as he was too worried for the scared little boy. Well, Gordana was right in that he shouldn't focus on the kid for now. Though, he couldn't help but frown when she called the kid "imaginary", as Bellamy felt in his heart of hearts that the kid was actually real. [break][break]
When Romilda spoke of Bellamy's choice in path, Bellamy nodded to the man. He would agree with the muscle-bound creature's words, even though Romilda had heard him wrongly. When Bellamy said the path was easier, he meant that it was easier to traverse. The beasts would be just as deadly, if not more, if they took this simpler path. [break][break]
Bellamy gave off a delighted sigh when Gordana spoke of the things in the air. "These are ethernano particles," Bellamy informed the sultry female. "They are bits and pieces of magical essence that make up the world around us. We're filled with them in our system. Ethernano is what allows us to use magic, after all," but Bellamy was sure that Gordana was well informed on this subject, since she called herself a mage. Information on ether was the first thing a mage would learn before they performed any type of magic. Or, at least it's what they should learn. Some mages could go centuries without knowing about Ethernano. [break][break]
"But it is strange to have such a high concentration of it in this forest. Oh, be sure to be careful about taking them home, Lady Gordana. These things can cause a mutation of the human body if you're constantly around them." If there was one thing Bellamy was informational on, it was magic. Years of studying to perfect his craft had made him this way. Now, he was delighted to share his information to his hunting partners for the day.
It was to be expected that the three of you would choose the most visually appealing path. A path like this was suited for such elegance after all. However, the path of least resistance usually was misleading. [break][break] As the trio continued to walk down the path, the ethernano only became denser. Bellamy was right about the effects of such a high concentration of ethernano. More powerful mages would be able to last far longer in such environments, but to you, prolonged exposure can cause somewhat serious problems. Now imagine what this kind of prolonged exposure would do to a creature, who is already a far less suitable host for magical energies. [break][break] Out of nowhere, an animalistic shriek is heard and a large panicked animal comes toward you from the direction you were heading. It is a large boar, with wildly different features from any you'd see in the wild outside of this forest. The tusks that protrude from the animal's lower lip are much larger than usual, and the patterns on its body are unlike any you've ever seen before. It is obvious the animal was running away from something. Though now with you in its way, and with flight or fight mode activated, the boar readies itself and charges straight for the first one it noticed, GORDANA EADS .
Purple gaze would would drift along the treeline as they started down the path, his chest tightening slightly as he felt the thick ethernano energy radiate through the air. He felt a tinge of anxiety enter his heart, yet he would focus on keeping it from going any further. His brow would remain furrowed in concentration as he remained alert to any approaching threats while keeping an ear to the conversation between his partners.[break][break]
A light scoff would escape his mouth as he shook his head, his lips curling into a confident smile as he shook his head. ”Thank you for the refresher, but I would certainly hope that none of slept through our very first magic lesson. That’s the fundamentals, after all.” A hand would move to idly toss the long strands of hair framing the side of his face over his shoulder as he spoke. ”Luckily I’m more than powerful enough to remain unaffected by this level of ethernano saturation. So if you two start to feel a little woozy rest assured I shall carry you both to safety.”[break][break]
His mouth opened, presumably to continue his boasting, only to immediately snap shut as a terrible shriek sounded from within the trees. His attention shifted over to sound’s general direction, his smile vanishing as he focused on listening for any further sounds. The sound of rapidly approaching heavy steps made it clear that something was headed right toward them. ””FEEL THE POWER OF THE GODS!” Romilda would let out a challenging shout toward the approaching monstrosity, his arms once again swelling up with thick bulky muscle. At the same time Gordana would feel her own arms pulsate with power as her muscles would start to swell with power. Whether that would manifest itself as thick bulk like Romilda or remain lean had yet to be seen.[break][break]
A moment later the target would come bounding through the foliage, looking to be on a collision course with the female member of the party. Yet the monster didn’t look quite as ferocious as initially anticipated. Instead it looked rather...frightened. As if it were running in fear of something far more powerful. It was clear that this beast was not their mark, but only an obstacle on their path. Romilda would charge forward with a clenched fist, not even bothering to reach back for his blade as he pulled an arm back. ”Move aside, puny beast!” With a mighty battlecry the inhumanly burly mage would deliver a solid punch straight toward the side of the boar’s head, hoping to put enough force behind his enhanced blow to send it off course and away from the rest of the party.

Casting Herculian Might on self and Gordana[break] (90100)
"Huh," Gordana mused. "I must've forgotten as a result of that being the most uninteresting information I've ever heard." Through no fault of Bellamy's, his impromptu lesson on ethernano didn't hold the woman's attention for more than a few seconds before her eyes slid off into the surrounding foliage. She grazed the nearby leaves with her nails, absent-mindedly flicking the drops of rain off her fingertips. She pondered how long the relevance of knowledge of excess ethernano would plague her.
"Oh, Bellamy," she cooed with a sly curl of her lips, "you better be careful calling me 'Lady.'" Her topaz hues met his, though their gaze was in a confused area between flirty and threatening. The ambiguity of her countenance persisted, even in the dreadful conditions of the rainforest.
Through the complicated range of fervor in the hunter's conversation, another noise bled through. It may not be fair as to describe it as a beastly rumbling, for much of the mage's exchange until this point had a similar je ne sais quoi. No, perhaps it would be best described as a swine's shaken squeal.
As Gordana shifted her stare to identify the screamer, she would realize that was exactly what it was. A larger-than-average wild boar, with rough and twisting husks and amber-colored fur came bounding out of the surrounding greenery. "Oh," the woman turned to Bellamy, "maybe that's the noise you heard!"
But it was no time for jokes, for not two seconds later, the pig charged toward Gordana. "Oh shit," she chuckled, body tensing with apprehension. Her magic was not meant for this type of fight; it wouldn't increase her strength nor diminish the strength of the beast. Put simply, it would be a collision of her elemental fortitude against the boar's. Or so it should have been, if it had not been for Romilda's quick spellcasting. She thought her muscles were stressing a little too much...
With her confusingly new, lean muscle mass, Gordana would have stood a fighting chance against the animal. That being said, she didn't know to the full effect her body had changed, and she had the street smarts to know not to challenge a beast head on. Instead, the dark-haired woman quickly sidestepped out of the trajectory of the boar, a move that's flawlessness and speedy execution could only be attained due to her Herculian Might. However, this may have been an unnecessary maneuver, for after Gordana had levied her balance, she saw Romilda deliver an uncompromising heat to the boar's face.
His power knocked the amber-colored pig to the ground, rendering it stunned for only a few moments. But it would seem the ethernano mutation made it resilient, and in turn, a worthy adversary. The boar climbed back on its feet, struggling slightly. Now it was interested in a new target. It scuffed the ground with its sharp toes and began to charge.
Surely Gordana could have offered more help in this situation, considering her affected condition. However, she was a little too entertained with Romilda's tactics. So she stood a couple paces back, and gave the mage a good old, "Heads up!" Let's see what he does next...
