Moon´glade` n. 1. The bright reflection of the moon's light on an expanse of water.
“MOONGLADE” is a non-canon Fairy Tail rp. Our story begins in the northern continent of Giltena, more than 400 years after the “disappearance of dragons”. With a focus on the Kingdom of Valeria, a country with a deep history revolving around the Moon Dragon, you will be able to play a vital role in the development of this kingdom--unless you choose a different journey. In Giltena, revered dragons have chosen to walk among you, and villains posing as heroes litter both the royal courts and the city streets. Weary traveller, what will you bring to the kingdom? Forge your path, and push forward through a world of magic and dreams.
WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

it was never perfect. [break][break] the reticent little town obscured by an unsettling tale. the venture that was taken to go elsewhere. the few lives that could manage on whatever managed to grow. [break][break] truly— there was nothing extravagant about the beginning. but who was nephele to know of the outside. all she had was this... and it was exactly this that was perfect to her. one happy family in a quiet part of the world. untouched and at peace. [break][break] "i'm heading out!" the little girl shouted from the frail wooden door. she left without a response, her feeble hands holding dearly onto the basket. crimson stood out to all that witnessed the light enraptured by the brilliant shade. bare feed silent against sturdy earth. [break][break] the market place was the life of the village. it was nearly always bustling with activity. her expression dazzled with excitement at the array of fruit and vegetables. the sense of responsibility she got just by being here was nice, alongside those that were familiar with her visits. 'nephy! here for some potatoes?' one of the owners called. [break][break] she trudged towards the friendly man with a small smile. "yes! i'll take ten please!" the pouch of the ragged dress shifted in the movement. it was a slim amount, but, just enough for what was needed. however— as the objects took their descent into the basket, a hand reached forward. the bed of silver caught her attention as the figure left. "hey!" she shouted, grabbing the basket with haste as she chased the thief. weaving through the mass of chattering townsfolk and knocking over various things in the process.

the reticent life he had within this small town was obscured by the people. he was nothing but a thief, a common criminal. a boy who had nothing, while they had everything. he hated this town and the people in it. they were nothing but horrible to him. yet, he found himself longing for what the other children had: family, love, friends, toys, and food. these were the things he did not have, but they had it all.
when you saw a boy with crimson pupils and silver hair, that was the accursed child without a name. at least that's what many believed. he was skulking about the market in search of an easy target. he was forgettable yet not forgettable--no, forgettable wasn't exactly the word to describe it. he just wasn't worth the effort of remembering. but such thoughts would all be forgotten the moment he took notice of his new prey, the girl whose hair was black at night.
yoink.
he snatched the basket from her at a moment's notice. running off into an alley believing he'd escaped her grasp. undoing the covering which hid her prized possession. he'd come to realize that the young girl had purchased potatoes. food, exactly what he needed! though they were uncooked, they were (probably) still edible. he had no objection that's for sure. opening his mouth, he'd say, "thanks for the meal--ah?" sinking his teeth into the potato, simultaneously the girl found him.
he'd stare at her with a bashful look. "mm..." and fully tore the bitten potato off. chewing on it as he stared at her briefly, swallowing it the next. "this is a good potato, you want some?" he offered. acting as if he didn't just steal what rightfully belonged to her. "if you're hungry there's plenty," he'd take another bite, uncaring to remember that she was the girl he'd just stole from.

she stood before the villain, her hands settled above knees, desperate to ease the race of her heart and straggling breath. [break][break] "how... dare you!" nephele said, still drained but gradually returning to normal. she'd heard thieving stories from her mother, but this would've been her first encounter. the nearly devoured potato that was being so intently eaten caught her eyes. she marched forward, not exactly harmless given it might've looked comical to the elder point—of—view. [break][break] "these potatoes belong to me and my mom! get your own!" she'd reach to snatch the basket. of course— it probably couldn't have been that easy. [break][break] "go to another village why don't you! steal the potatoes there! the people here work hard for potatoes!" her unrelenting attack about potatoes continued. although it couldn't have been the most delightful of meals, it was all they had.

[attr="class","starrytext"]he was stunned by how frail she was. from such a short run she tried her best to keep up with him. so was that what hide-n-seek was like? it was sort of being caught. a slight smile donned his face, rosy cheeks embarrassed by how he found this situation entertaining.
as she snatched her basket back. enlil would simply create a pout and turn his gaze elsewhere, a half eaten potato in hand. "it's not my fault you were dumb enough to let me take it." he poked at the girl. "and besides this potato wasn't even good, all of that hard work for what? a potato that tastes like crap!" the young boy bit back. if he could go to another village he would, you think he doesn't think about that?
to hear someone else say what he wished made him so mad. he stood, brows furrowed, and said, "if there was one nearby i would! you and the people here suck, anyway!" a nonchalant reply, he merely smiled through the pain. happily spitting on her words as if they were nothing. "besides you have nine more craptatoes, why are you so upset about one?" thinking on it for a second, hand under chin, he'd devilishly grin.
"ah, say, are you into food that taste like poop? haha, that's so weird!" he teased, pointing and laughing as he held his gut with his other hand. "you're so weird, i like that!" he added. the young enlil, then, asked, "hey, wanna help me steal an apple, crap girl?" he asked the ravenette.

[attr="class","kingsBody"]
"what!?" she barked back, astounded by the insult. an idea roused to her mind just as quickly. retaliating the crude nature of the boy that now stood before her. [break][break] "well that's to bad," the girl started, a sly smile approaching her youthful features, "i was going to share some if you just apologized!" or maybe that was a lie. then again, nephele wasn't exactly unwilling to treat a stranger. she'd done so before with many others. [break][break] one brow twitched, signifying the irritation. suddenly a single foot slammed into the ground, hands on hips. "well maybe it sucks because people like you ruin it! nobody likes a no—good thief!" she pointed towards him, an over-exaggerated gesture that nearly caused a loss for balance. [break][break] the final had gotten to her. the boy might've expressed adoration in his own insult, but, the girl wasn't having it. "hey!" a sudden object was throttled forward. another potato emerged from the basket and in the direction of the other's face. [break][break] hands clenched side—by—side. [break][break] "stop stealing! you can't do that!" she expressed, glaring at him, "didn't your mom and dad ever teach you that it isn't nice to steal!" and then— the entire basket flew forward in one violent and messy twirl.
[attr="class","kingsLyrics"]scars on my mind are bruises on skin
[attr="class","starrytext"]as the basket fell. he stared at the girl for a brief moment, surprised by the words 'mom' and 'dad'. thinking about it. he did have a dad, but he never really paid much attention to his father's words. "nope!" that was an unconscious lie. ociel told him to no longer return to this town and to, also, stop bringing attention to himself.
but that was impossible. this was his home too. even though they treated him like crap. "my dad says that i don't have the tendency to listen. i've never had a mom though!" arms risen over his head. a nonchalant expression was worn, "if i had a mom i think would've been nice to have her nag me like you, scold me doing bad things." eyes darted toward the ground.
the young boy took notice of the potatoes having spilled over. he began to bend down and pick them up one by one, "just because you've never stole doesn't make you a better person, y'know." he spoke upon picking each potato up one by one. "it's not really nice to yell at other people, crap girl." seriously, didn't she have anything else to do besides nag?
"your manners are way worse, too, y'know? i offered you something to eat and i offered you to have some fun, but you turned them down." looking up toward the female, he'd add, "you're a real snooze!" then, he'd add, "do you even have a name crap girl or should i just call you potato girl?" the boy snickered.

once the basket had tumbled— guilt approached. it started at her gut like a bad stomach ache and then it reached her heart. those firmly clenched hands faded alongside her anger for the boy. brows may have furrowed still yet, the expression painted itself as wistful for her words and actions. [break][break]
"i-i'm sorry." nephele said, crouching down to help him. "but you really shouldn't... it's... it's dangerous." not everyone was as nice or as forgiving. the reputation that built among those which stole didn't help either.[break][break]
"doesn't it get lonely? doing this all the time... your dad must be worried." rather than disbelief for the abduction and name calling of the potatoes she seemed concerned. "a—and you can't just offer what you stole from me! how does that make any sense?" the counter for his words was added with a slight laugh.[break][break]
after assisting with the mess that had been made, she stood upright and dusted herself off. "i—i'm nephele. how about you urchin boy? are you going to introduce yourself before we have some fun?" the tease was added in retaliation to the name—calling. however her lips wore a soft smile and rather genuine smile.
[attr="class","kingsLyrics"]scars on my mind are bruises on skin
[attr="class","starrytext"]"ah. . ." she started crying. now he felt bad. lowering his head to shy away from the girl he just made sad. he still listened as she spoke. his dad was pretty worried when he didn't return to the forest outside of town. "mm, yeah. he does grow worried when i don't return." enlil stated bashfully. scratching the back of his head, he was a bit taken aback by the question. it almost made him want to stop doing what he did and listen to his father for once.
a surprising laugh was heard from the girl. it was a slight one, but a laugh nonetheless. "oh, you're actually able to laugh!" enlil stated in shock. he chuckled alongside the girl for a brief second. maybe she wasn't all that much of a nagger. "oi..." he responded with furrowed brows, "...the name's en...en..." he couldn't remember the name all too well. it was a name recently given to him so he was still learning. "you can just call me, en!"
a smile as sprite as the sun, free as the wind, and calm as a breeze, would be given. this was the beginning of a relationship that would soon come to an end. but, for the time being, enlil would enjoy every minute of it with nephele remes. though there was a chance he may forget now, he'll remember later. someday, this place wouldn't be the last time they'd see each other.
