Bellamy heard all of the latest news on Shara- a disgusting place filled mostly with refugees looking to find a safe home. Many of the refugees had experienced great horrors, with some either being mugged or nearly killed as they walked through the streets of Shara- a common situation with a town that mostly stored the homeless or the poor. Bellamy didn't like it. For a man that was born from a noble family, he felt no rejuvenation in helping those that could not help themselves. They did not have money, they did not have class- they were not worth Bellamy's efforts. However, he had to associate with the poor for today, for he had a mission that demanded such a task of him, thus he bottled his disgust for the people he would meet and prepared to work. [break][break]
Another member of his guild decided to volunteer with Bellamy for today. Enlil Vindr was the name of the member. To be truthful, Bellamy didn't know what to make of the man. He'd heard stories in the past of how Enlil worked against the people he was supposed to work with, but Bellamy did not care for mere hearsay or rumors. If he was to judge someone then he would do so himself with his own judgemental eyes. As far as Bellamy could tell, Enlil seemed like a child, untrustworthy and problematic. Thus, Bellamy decided to keep a perfect distance from his mission partner. [break][break]
They both decided to meet at the food kitchen in Shara. Bellamy came with his own apron and hairnet. Their mission was yet another mundane task. They would serve soup and other assortment of food to the refugees of Shara. They needed to do nothing more than that. Once their quest was over, they would go their separate ways and probably never speak again- or so Bellamy was to believe. [break][break]
When he arrived at Shara's soup kitchen, he realized that he was the first one there. Heading towards the back where the food was, he found sitting prettily on one of the many kitchen tables was a note from the manager. [break][break]
Had my something to do today. Can't make it to help you guys- tehee~. The food is already made. Just heat it and open up the kitchen when it's ready to eat! [break][break] - Manager-chan [break][break]
A rush of anger fell over Bellemy when he realized that he and Enlil would be alone to handle the kitchen today, and he balled the paper in frustration.
[attr="class","starrytext"]an unenthusiastic expression donned enlil's face. upon arrving he entered the kitchen, ready and prepared to get this out of the way. he had no idea as to why he took this job. just that it caught his attention. he was bored out of his mind though, but beggars can't be choosers; this was the only quest up at the moment upon the bulletin board. a snorefest this was going to be.
once he arrived he'd come to meet another member of his guild: Bellamy Grayberry, another stick in the mud. he was no different from the blondie. what was up with the members of this guild. looking around, he took notice that the manager of the kitchen wasn't here. shame, that meant he'd have to serve them with just two people. "if only i had fire magic." he commented, it sucked that they had to do this all by hand. "let's try our best not to burn this place down, aye cap'n?" he devilishly grinned at his ally. patting his back with a hearty laugh.
"you seem to like taking responsibility, i leave this in your hand." he'd begin to take off the apron and the hairnet. readying to leave. he didn't need the extra hands did he? "you can just do the work for the both of us, right? right?" he snickered.

When Enlil entered the kitchen, Bellamy calmed himself. It was best not to let the man see him angry. Bellamy watched as Enlil gave a glance over the place before suddenly deciding to leave. "Oh no you don't," Bellamy said. The heavenly force opened his palm and pointed it towards the door. As a magical circle appeared under his fingers, a gravitational force broke from his body and slammed into the doors, closing them shut with a large BANG. [break][break]
"Listen here, young lord," Bellamy started at Enlil. "I'm just as lazy as you- As a nobleman who is filled with honor, I cannot allow you to leave. We both made a promise, thus I shall not be doing all of the work here alone." Ignoring that little slip up, Bellamy folded his arm and watched Enlil to see what he would do. "Now, please put back on the apron so that we can feed these pathet- wonderful people."
[attr="class","starrytext"]"you were going to call them 'pathetic' just now." he pointed out. and for a nobleman he was a bit too honest. especially when he told him that he was just as lazy. scratching the nape of his neck, enlil added, "fine, fine. i don't know who's worse, you or blondie." they were both equally stick in the mud's, one more annoying than the other.
this wasn't something he could punch, so this was gonna be boring. "let's just get this over with." and so he'd place back on his clothing. he'd start with gathering the sustenance from the fridge. placing them next to one another tray by tray, enlil would line them up. but in the midst of continuing, he'd stop. "this is boring!" snatching the net off of his hair he'd toss it down.
"why can't we just make them do this since it's for them?" 'them' being the low-class. enlil, surprisingly, resonated with these individuals on a small scale. he, too, knew the pain of homelessness. but that was normal everyday life to him--it was what he once thought was normal. little did he know, he was going to soon learn the difference between the commoners and high-class. "besides, how the hell did a nobleman even end up in magia dragon? shouldn't you be living a lavish lifestyle with the crowned family."

So he was willing to stay? Good. Bellamy didn't know what he would do if he actually had to fight the man to get him to do half of the work. Bellamy was strong, and could probably make the man submit with his mighty power, but he didn't have the energy to put forth his effort in making Enlil do what he didn't want. If Enlil ended up leaving, Bellamy would just leave himself. Nothing would be done and the homeless people would go hungry for a few days. Wouldn't be Bellamy's problem, though. [break][break]
While Enlil focused on putting the food together, Bellamy gathered the flint and steel to create the fire. Just when he was about to get the fire started, Enlil rammed Bellamy with some amazing insight. Why in the hell did the homeless people and refugees not do this job themselves? They were the ones that were starving, not Bellamy. Well, Bellamy was starving, but that was mostly his choice!!! If he wanted, he could go grab a ham sandwich down the street and remain full for the rest of the day. [break][break]
-No no, he had agreed to do this job. There was no way he could back out from his promise now. It would hurt his honorable noble pride too much if he didn't follow through on his word. Bellamy was a headstrong man that believed in duty and honor. These were the two things that mattered the most to him than his own life. He would never give up his honor as a nobleman! [break][break]
Okay, Bellamy believed that he was ready for this job. Being reminded of the type of person he was meant to be raised his morale a bit and psyched him up for this job. He would help the homeless people eat even if it required his dying breath. [break][break]
"Besides, how the hell did a nobleman even end up in magia dragon?" [break][break]
And, just like that, Bellamy was hit with some hardcore depression. Thoughts of how he ended up in this situation plagued his mind, infecting him with a deluge of sadness. The nobleman, who was once excited to help the poor, immediately had his excitement shattered and his self esteem destroyed. [break][break]
"I got conned out of my money..." Bellamy answered Enlil in a barely audible voice. The man who was now emotionally demolished tried to do the work that was set for him. He hit the flint against the steel once with his bare hands, then twice. Not a single trifling spark came from it. After the third time trying to set the fireplace ablaze, Bellamy completely gave up. [break][break]
"I can't do this anymore," Bellamy overdramatically said as he tossed the flint and steel over his shoulders, not caring where exactly they landed. "These people are hungry, not us. If they want to eat then they can feed their damn selves. I cannot cook for these people anymore." Nevermind the fact that he didn't start cooking for them in the first place. [break][break]
"Come on," Bellamy said to Enlil as he tossed off his apron, hairnet, and commenced walking out the door. "We're going to trick some people into working for us."
[attr="class","starrytext"]"pfft..." enlil tried to hold it in. but he couldn't. and so a rippling laughter emerged from the male's windpipe. it was pretty hilarious to see a nobleman of his stature give up so easily. enlil can't remember the time when he wanted to give up so quickly. "wait, wait, wait!" maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all.
enlil assumed bellamy and ezrik were the same. but they were two totally, completely, utter opposites. you'd think ezrik was a nobleman and he a dragon slayer with how quick he gave up. "ah man, who would've thought you had such a side to you, noble bell." he nicknamed the gravity user.
picking up the items he threw. enlil would toss them up and down in the palm of his hand. "okay, okay, okay, aside from that hilarious story that you're gonna have to tell me later. you can't just go quitting so easily once you've started." especially because he didn't waste his time taking this stuff out only to give up half-way. looks like enlil was going to have take notes from ezrik.
placing the flint in bellamy's hand, as well as the steel piece, he'd say, "just try it again, noble bell." point at the steel piece, he'd say, "you're hitting it together. you need to slide it down at a 45 degree angle. plus, the edge you're hitting is pretty dull. you need a good sharp edge, like this side right here, if you wanna get a good spark." considering he was someone of high nobility, it wasn't much of a surprise that he couldn't get a spark going.
still, it was funny to watch. enlil would take a cold piece of food from one of the trays. eating as he leaned against the counter to watch. "your personality seriously doesn't match the tone you usually have." it was by far hilarious.

The man seemed to be really enjoying Bellamy's unwonted nature. Well, Bellamy couldn't help Enlil's reaction. It wasn't every day that people met a noble who was as amazing as Bellamy was. Still, it was a little bit grating that he would give him the nickname of Noble Bell. If anything, he'd prefer the title of Noble Amy. Yeah... Noble Amy sounded nice. [break][break]
"I don't see why we have to do any of this. These people want to eat. Isn't it best that they learn to feed themselves?" Suddenly, the roles were reverse with Bellamy wanting to leave and Enlil wanting to actually put forth the effort. However, since Enlil seemed like a nice guy, Bellamy didn't immediately leave. Instead he placed back on his apron and gave a drawn out and heavy sigh. "Fine, I'll give it one more try. I doubt it'll catch fire though." [break][break]
Bellamy listened to Enlil's instruction and did as the man suggested. He started sliding the flint against the edge of the steel, trying with minimal effort to get the fireplace to light. Though, when he noticed that his work produced actual sparks, unlike what he'd done before, he immediately started to give more effort. After a few more scrapes he made against the steel, he watched at the spark slowly turned into a flame on one of the logs. [break][break]
"I did it..." Bellamy said as he saw the flame build. "I did it! I did it- I mean, ahem." He cleared his throat a little. "Of course I did it. This is child's play for a noble such as I. Simple and easy, as I knew it would be." [break][break]
Bellamy found himself furrowing his brow when Enlil made his last comment to him. "What do you mean? I am a nobleman by birth. My personality is that of a nobility's. What of you? Surely you must come from a noble family. After all, you know the ways of the flint and steel. That's clearly something that only a noble lord could master."
[attr="class","starrytext"]"he says with the expression of child learning how to use magic for the first time." enlil mumbled beneath his breath. he was an interesting nobleman. bellamy wasn't your average nobleman that you'd find just anywhere. than again, maybe he was. he sure did have the thought to match it.
"huh?!" enlil was taken aback by the man's remark. "you can't be serious?" there was nothing that screamed noble about enlil. he was reckless, childish, uncooperative, and combative. if any of that screamed nobility than he was afraid to see the true lifestyle of a nobleman. "or it's just clear that i have firsthand experience in the wilderness." he practically used this stuff on a daily basis when he served as a military dog for the kingdom.
"hate to break it to you buddy, but there's nothing noble about me." enlil shrugged. he began to shove the trays one by one into the oven. "but from your personality, you're not the type to help the less fortunate huh?" enlil poked. "have you ever done anything with your own hands, noble bell?" enlil asked with curiosity.

Bellamy refused to believe that this man wasn't a noble of some sorts. He couldn't pull the wool over Bellamy's eyes. He seemed much more informational that Bellamy originally thought. Surely, his mastery over the flint and steel proved Bellamy right. There was no other explanation for it. [break][break]
"I've had various different jobs that I've had to use my hands for," Bellamy informed Enlil. "Since I had my money stolen from me, I had to perform work to make a living. It was the worst years of my life. First I started as a construction worker- which, hammering away at a board all day is just torture to your fingers. I don't know why commoners would put themselves through it. Next I was a waiter, though I got fired from that job when I spilled hot coffee on a man's groin. Twice... To the same man." [break][break]
Bellamy sighed and shook his head as he recounted the various occupations he took up. "I worked a lot..." he said to Enlil. "And with each job, I've learned something important. But also, working placed a very complex view into my mind." As Bellamy spoke, he decided to leave the cooking to Enlil and began setting up the chairs at the tables. Each table was large and round, which allowed for various chairs to sit under it. [break][break]
"This sucks, is what I kept telling myself as I worked. Why do I need to keep doing this. After a while I stopped caring about working hard and started being lazy. Now, the least effort I have to have at a job, the better." The chairs were so large and heavy. It took him a while to get them all properly situated. When the set up was proper, he walked back into the kitchen to watch Enlil work. "But that doesn't make me any less of a noble!" Bellamy harrumph'd. "I am a Grayberry, after all. My family has a close connection to the royal family. We were born with impressive magical skills. [break][break]
"And what of you?" Bellamy asked the man. "I am sure your family is filled with noble blood as well, with you being so intelligent and all. Tell me, what household do you hale from? Who are your parents?"
