WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

it was only through luck that he managed to find the dragon slayer who he had already acquainted himself with within the city at the same time as he took the mission. 'the clients are nobles' or something along those lines were enough to keep him interested in the rewards and stay with him for the entirety of the mission.
houses in the neighborhood were turning their lights off one after the other. night already claimed the sky and activity in the streets died down. soon enough, everyone will be asleep.
uther and his companion found themselves hidden somewhere within the city lord's mansion's garden. their client's window was on their sight... or at least, it would be if it wasn't too dark. he supposed it was why he was lucky enlil was there.
the dragon slayer was supposed to tell uther when he smells or hears anyone else enter the vicinity. he doesn't know if they also have enhanced night vision, but it should be fine even if he doesn't.
[attr="class","starrytext"]picking a berry from one of the shrubs. enlil hadn't been paying much attention. he was merely eating away at his leisure. he smelled nothing, heard nothing. all in all it was peaceful, but deep down inside it made him annoyed by the fact he had to protect a couple of noblemen. did they truly do anything for this city and its people?
"y'know, i only took this 'cause i thought action would be happening sooner. but, at the moment, it's nothing but a waste of my time." he stated bluntly. a casual tone taken. he'd pluck another berry off of the shrub and continued to eat. "these are actually pretty good!" enlil commented jovially. he devoured another, the corner of his mouth painted with red. "hey, hey, cain. you should come try this!" he beamed with a gleeful smile.
uther felt for enlil. he wanted something to happen, and the circumstances just wasn't letting them get what they want. they do not have any means of escalating the matter, however. any wrong action may get the perpetrator to back off as well, further making the stakeout a waste of time.
waiting was their only choice.
enlil seemed to entertain himself however, which uther appreciated. "thank you, thank you," he'd hum as he indulged on the other's carefree mood.
he'd munch on the berry, savoring its flavors, as he'd take his eyes off of the noble's window for a moment. he'd chew on it briefly before turning back on their target. hands quickly scrambled for his rifle when he thought he saw a movement by the room.
his rifle's sight would run through the silhouette by the window. the dim light from a lamp from within the room provided minimal lighting, but it was enough for uther to distinguish the shadows from each other. he'd attach a silencer as he aimed.
a shot would ring from the vicinity as soon as he locked on.
the perpetrator would soon run away. his shot barely grazed him, but it hit. blood would trickle from the wound as the member of the gang made its escape. uther would follow, though he stayed for a moment as he turned to enlil. "you can follow the scent, right?" he'd ask, a nervous smile present on his expression.
[attr="class","starrytext"]a scent? he'd turn, wiping the berry off of his face. did he actually shoot someone?
standing, enlil began to sniff the air. catching a strong whiff of blood. "oh, yup that's blood. who did you even shoot?" he stated. having forgotten that they were after a gang member. "ah, that must have been the culprit." and so it was time to give chase. enlil followed, pursuing the male on foot.
"i've never even heard of these guys until now." the boogeyman gang, what an idiotic name. enlil wondered what they exactly looked like and could do. they were people who stole dreams. just what the hell would they even need to do that? "dream eaters, this wouldn't need to happen if they just got proper sleep." the perpetrator could be seen jumping from roof-to-roof. enlil taking notice of how agile the being was under the moonlit sky.
"well, there he is. this is your expertise, start shooting and don't miss!" he barked to cain as they ran upon the pavement across from the perpetrator.

[attr="class","ooc"]uther valeria mission: --- notes: i'll do better, this post was weak as shiet.
"this rifle is more for hunting that sniping though." he readies the firearm once more, readying another shot. "i'll try though."
he'd been chasing him with enlil, gun on hand. he'd skid as he forced himself to a stop. pulling the gun up to an angle that hits the rooftops, he aimed the gun at where the target was supposed to be.
light was limited to nonexistent. the only way to get a shot off on their target was through observing their movements within the shadows and trying to make a rough estimate of their location.
a shot would fire off by their target's feet, though it wouldn't hit. it stopped their tracks for a moment, however, but that's it.
"please get hit," he'd silently pray as he continued shooting.
multiple shots would be aimed towards the perpetrator, but none would hit. the most that it did would be to get them to slow down. he has enlil to back him up, however.
[attr="class","starrytext"]time was all he needed. and cain provided that. without so much as a whisper, he moved like the wind as he deviated from his comrade. "you heard my partner," enlil uttered, jumping onto the roof upon cain's final shot. he'd raise a single fist, with a devilish grin, "please get hit!" and to the perpetrator's surprise, he'd be hit with a single fist. sending the enemy hurdling back and into a chimney.
the enemy slid off of the home's roof. only to fall atop of a pile of trash. enlil looked down from above, whistling at the fall. "he fell pretty hard." he snickered. but the job was done right, right? dusting his hand off. enlil would windup his right shoulder. "well, that's that." but it wasn't until the perpetrator dissipated into nothing but a puff of black specks of dust.
"what the...?" illusion magic. meaning he'd catch enlil off guard with a punch to the face the moment he looked behind him. sending the sky slayer hurdling off of the rooftop and into the pile of trash. enlil groaned as all he could hear was laughter from above. "i'm...so going to kill that bastard." he stated with a growl. not only could they devour dreams, but they also possessed illusion magic.
the moment it took their target to hit enlil was the window he needed. the window of opportunity presented itself in the least desirable manner, but it was enlil. that guy doesn't seem to be hurt anyways despite being thrown off the roof.
the rifle was trained on their target. under the moonlight, their figure was outlined and was easier to track, especially since his eyes had adjusted to the darkness by now. the aiming did not take any longer than a moment.
"bang," he exclaimed in the most hushed manner possible.
finger on the trigger, the shot was fired. the bullet would hit the gang member's thigh, grazing it and wounding it much worse. two wounds on the same leg would effectively get the limb to be unusable until it gets treated.
