Forge your path, and push forward through a world of magic and dreams.
WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

it was the worst place to be recognized. [break][break]
more—so nephele had never anticipated it. the land of the undead would've gratified the concern of knightly mages elsewhere. but then again— it seemed anything was possible.[break][break]
three individuals wandered beneath the foliage of the forest. her presence concealed within the greenery as she watched them look left then right. clawed hands did well to grapple into the surface of the tree. keeping her steady upon the thick branch. [break][break]
their voices now lingering.[break][break]
'hey— have you heard about that rumor.' one of them started. 'what rumor?' another quickly followed. 'about that kid. ya'know the prince that died? word been going around he ain't actually dead.' the man appeared content by the idea but, the third shrugged it off. 'what kinda fool would believe that?' their laughter carried into the lifeless terrain. [break][break]
the prince?[break][break]
nephele certainly wasn't ignorant. though she had chosen to disregard royalty. their presence within this world had done nothing to help her. those with power that didn't know how to use it. those that truly knew nothing of this cruel and dark world. it was a waste to remember them.[break][break]
one sharp claw settled between much sharper canines. lightly chewing on the demonic formation as she continued to listen. 'we got better things to worry bout! think bout how much they'll pay us when we catch her!' it was almost humorous given the lies. she'd been regarded a demon or a mage of niflheim. these false tales adding an even crueler reputation to the girl. it was as if it'd been intentional.[break][break]
her figure slipped from above, landing just behind the group with a distinct thud. their eyes followed near in sync to the slow rise of the girl. the shift of deadly horns already apparent.[break][break]
"sorry. but you'll be going home empty handed." she gestured towards them or rather— behind them."at least. the dead think so." distinct gurgling and screaming could be heard. they turned the direction they'd been facing before to see a hoard of undead staggering their way. eerily fast given the state.

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] It was a pain in the ass having to come out this far, he thought to himself. Since he had been taken in by Caprisun, and his identity protected, the guild master did not shy away from making him her slave. Anything she wanted to be done, she requested Regis personally—and today was just another one of those requests. [break][break] He was told of a certain woman causing a commotion in the home of the dead. She sure did pick a hell of a location to cause trouble in... Regis continued to walk along the dirt road, moving deeper into the forest and closer to the base of the mountain. There was a hint of death within the air, something that was to be expected. [break][break] As always, Regis wasn't briefed at all about where he was going. The home of the dead was an oddity to him, one that he had never experienced—only through books that he read as a kid. Now, here he ventured deeper into the forest without a care. He had on a silky black shirt, black pants, a half-mask, and a hooded cape. The only trait of his noticeable this late at night were his glistening, silver irises. [break][break] Screaming coming from further down the path pushed him to move quicker. As he approached the source of the commotion, the silhouette of a woman was visible. Is that her? [break][break] Ignoring what was going on in front of her, he screamed out. "Are you the one the rumors are about?" Whatever she had wanted to do with the group of men was up to her. If she allowed them to run past her, as would he. Truthfully, he was a bit excited to face off against the rumored undead.

the voice from behind roused itself as another hunter. however— the trio of blabbering men didn't seem as determined as she had imagined them to be. they quickly tossed the idea of capture as the hoard came ever closer. their frantic figures hesitating to pass the girl. only truly breaking into the dash as she allow them to escape the wrath of the dead. [break][break]
nephele finally glanced back. those sharp red eyes catching the equally biting silver. she leaped high into the air— disappearing within the foliage and landing a few lengths back. swallowed whole by the entirety of the shrilling dead and quickly reappearing in the advance of battle. the fumbling and groaning figures unable to keep up with the girl as she gradually brought them down— one by one. [break][break]
she certainly wasn't overbearing of essence yet her movements were precise and quick. the figure that had trained herself well. the figure that was not fully aware of another calling. [break][break]
nephele gained some distance on the few that were left. wiping the stray beads of sweat from the temple of her crown. she was gradually beginning to realize that the dead weren't as fragile as the living. the few she presumed as defeated— stood back up and charged forth. [break][break]
of course.[break][break]
those captivating eyes narrowed. as much as the girl was confident in her capability, she couldn't guarantee her sanity would keep up with her. the demonic calling was already whispering an urgency for play.

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] She took forever to turn around. The men that were originally there to hunt her were now long gone. His steely gaze locked with her own for just a moment before she decided to ignore him and jump god knows how many feet into the air. Caprisun what did you get me into? [break][break] She favored the zombies over him. This was truly the first time something that was undead was chosen instead of him. Regis watched her flow effortlessly in battle, moving from one target to the other, leaving each one more undead than before. She was very quick with her movements, and he noticed each strike was thrown with purpose—something that impressed him even more. It took practice, or some innate talent to be able to really know how to strike like that. [break][break] Regis was, however getting tired of being ignored. He waited for the opportune moment to make his own entrance, one that she wouldn't be able to ignore. As she finally distanced herself from the last few creatures, Regis quickly acted. Ether built up inside his maw as a glistening golden orb appeared in front of his mouth and instantly a beam of golden energy with a blue hint shot forward. The beam exploded into a wider cone as it traveled and engulfed the undead in its star-like energy. The undead were unable to move any longer. [break][break] "I'm not here to hunt you, but I am here for you. Are you the one that has been staying out around here?" He said to her. Regis didn't notice that the hood he was wearing was no longer covering his head, as the energy from the spell pushed it back.

there seemed a momentary hysteria as the dead came closer. soon overlapped by the blinding light— consuming every figure of danger till the essence faded away in a steady flicker. her expression diminished of its frenzy as she stared forward owlishly. [break][break]
ruby pursued the trail in a steady motion. eventually settled on the man whose voice had broken through before the advance. all surprise quickly reverting to a much blanker state. another hunter?— suspicions wavered as he spoke otherwise. however— her doubt for the benefit of remaining safe did not fully trust that statement. she narrows her eyes.[break][break]
"not for long." nephele said, straightening her posture. the clash of silver strangely captivating as it caught the light of the moon above. it was just as curious as the power he'd wielded. something the girl wasn't about to press given their surroundings and unfamiliarity. the claim was hardly reassuring.[break][break]
"but— whose asking?" she decided. the extension of demonic horns had not dwindled as the burst. acute canines hidden beneath the lips but itching for blood. it was a lust not of her own. one curse unable to be wielded properly pushed for something sinister.

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] This is going to be weird... Approaching a stranger was always a delicate situation, but when you include the dead-er zombies, the devil horns, and a random guy who shoots beams out his mouth it becomes a complicated mess. Regis focused his eyes on her and her appearance. The horns didn't seem to be part of a cosplay outfit, so he chalked it up to it being one of her magical attributes. He read about individuals being able to take on characteristics of things they've beaten, but never witnessed such a thing in person so he had no idea what to expect. [break][break] "I'm asking. Oh right." He scratched the back of his head debating on what to do. Should he tell her his real name? He doubted she even knew who the prince of Valeria even was. Then again, that would be a stupid gamble to make. Would it really matter in the end though? If he accomplished his mission, she would eventually join him back in Niflheim and his secret would be safe until he chose to reveal it to the world. Fuck it he understood that being genuine was much more important when it came to making new friends. [break][break] "My names Regis. May I have some of your time to tell you why I'm here?" Regis decided to use a friendly approach first. He understood though that this was ultimately a mission and he was to bring her to Caprisun willingly, or by force. He really hoped he wouldn't have to use the latter.

regis? [break][break]
there was something familiar about that name. her lips motionless as she considered just where she'd heard it before. unable to find an immediate answer within the secrecy of her mind, nephele broke from her thoughts.[break][break]
whispering started from her form. the strange noise easily misplaced as the nonexistent breeze. however— the man that called himself regis would begin to feel ill if he continued to look forth. unsettling and ever—moving symbols reaching visibly beneath her left eye.[break][break]
"what a strange way to capture a wanted criminal." once void of emotion had now been painted by the slightest of anger. "certainly you don't take me for a fool?" the voice that flooded with darkness grew louder and louder. the eerie and nearly overwhelming sound not for the faint of heart.[break][break]
"be grateful i've given you the chance to even introduce yourself." inwardly nephele fought the urge for bloodshed. turning opposite from the man to bound further into the dark forest. falling victim to her own power would almost always result in loss. or the murder of someone that did not truly deserve it.
