[attr="class","starrytext"] a pile of unconscious animals were placed atop of one another. enlil was seen spotted standing in front of them. in the right palm of his hand was a beast that looked to possess the body of a gorilla. big, white fur, and strong hands. he held the unconscious creature with horns by one of his horns. "and that's number six." he'd throw it onto the pile.
"that should be all of them. normally there's never many this out, but i guess people should be able to walk through this placed without worry." and with that he'd begin to make his exit. casually heading back to the guild as he walked toward a bridge that laid over a roaring river. the tides were strong, the bridge made of wood.
enlil wondered how sturdy this bridge had been. as he crossed over it the bridge, as usual, felt sturdy. as if it was just recently made. had this thing been imbued with magic of sorts to keep it from wearing down? oh well, not his problem. he casually continued his walk back, all while thinking about getting some training in later. "training..." back when he was a member of the jaeger squad, today was training day. "did i take on this mission subconsciously..."
stopping half way on the bridge. enlil placed the right palm of his hand atop of his head. "the hell's wrong with me today." then he heard the whisper of a name, 'trey'. turning around quickly, he'd possess a shocked expression. "was that..." once more he'd place the palm of his hand upon his head.

There was a light 'ding' that sounded throughout the shop as the window swung open a figure with a white robe on came out of the establishment and into the glaring sun. Today was especially a sunny day and it was perfect for testing out the keys he just bought from the shop. Nate raised the silver key which shines as the rays of the sun beat down on it. The end of the key looked like what a chisel would and the shop owner mentioned the name of the celestial spirit was Caelum. "I guess we should make a contract after buying the key huh, just like what I did with Lyra. But where?" He mumbled in silence and added the chisel-like key to his keyholder. Well, he had one thing in mind when it comes to places.[break] [break] Walking the path up to the foot of the plateau, it was home to may monsters and animals alike. The Metalin Plains was perfect for making a contract with his spirit because it was serene and calm and he did not like having crowds of people around. Besides, he also get to test the strength of the key he just bought with monsters residing in the plateau. Nate scanned the area as he walked up and his keys jingled as they hit together everytime he takes a step. The place was still as what he imagined being trees and bushes all in full green leaves and some fruits hanging on each of them. It was enticing to look at but it was not his main purpose for today. "Gotta move on fast or else it will be dark soon. I don't really want to meet the beings that inhabits the place at night.[break] [break] Nate continued on his pace and finally get to a bank of river with strong currents. He looked back and memorized as to where he came from so as to not get lost, spending his night in the plains was not his cup of tea. After all, this was just a quick trip and maybe explore the land a litte bit. Nate still feels this was not the right place to make the contract and decided to follow along the bank until he passed by a bridge. Examining the bridge, it looked to be made of wood which surprised the lad. But he did not mind it as long as it looked sturdy. A breeze swept in as he moved towards the wooden bridge which blew his robe, revealing his tunic green tunic shirt and brown pants tucked in to his brown boots. Branches crunched as he stepped on some twigs and as he arrived at the bridge, a figure stood. With the scowl of the robe on his head, he looked at the face of the man and was shocked as the other man's orbs met him. Instincts immediately kicked in and he decided to turn around and attempted to walk away from the man, unless he do something to stop him.[break]
[attr="class","starrytext"] and without warning something fast, as well as breezy, sped right pass the unknown assailant trying to make an exit. "hey..." he spoke. "where the hell do you think you're going?" a sharp gaze watched the robe dressed individual attempt to make his escape. as if he were running from something. "you do know it's dangerous to be out on your own right..." did they make a wrong turn or something?
"are you lost?" he asked the stranger. enlil started to approach the stranger. he had no intent on touching them, but they sure did seem suspicious. but, can you blame him, he was told to have a scary face every now and then. did he have any intent on chasing the male if he took off running? maybe. he'd only do it because he was acting strange. it's not normal to just flee from a stranger unless they gave off bad vibes.
but, then tat begs the question, did enlil give off bad vibes? "and why did you start running?" he'd stop a few feet from the male's back. should they have kept running enlil was prepared to chase. he was once a dog for the kingdom. this would be child's play.

Things didn't really go out with green-haired lad as he went to the Metalin Plains. He was hoping to have made a contract with his spirit and try out its power in a discreet place but this young man was going to be a bother to him. Keeping up his pace of running away from the male when he spoke to him. Nate stopped for a while and stood up yet still with his back facing the man who was currently chasing after him. Was Nate really looked that all suspicious for the man to keep om questioning? He thought for a moment and felt the the footsteps getting nearer and nearer to him. He still remained silent and held on to his robes and hugged it closer to his body.[break] [break] The man was still a bother he suppose and even asked him if was lost. Well technically he may be right on the matter as this plains could be confusing to travellers that are new to this place and wasn't keen on some paths that were usually used by some people around. But Nate wasn't the type to let himself get lost by this way. Deciding that if he won't answer the man's questions he wouldn't asking him one. So with an annoyed face, he slightly turned his body into a side view position and his face facing the man straight into the eyes. "I'm fine on my own no need to be concerned." Nate sighed and turned his head and started walking this time.[break] [break] As stubborn as a child the man asked him another question which really irritates Nate too much and as he wasn't likely to talk with strangers nonetheless it was a business one. "Will you just stop this questions. People can do whatever they want and I can run all day if I want to." He spoke with a tone that is clearly irritated. "Now if I'll take my leave." He turned around with his robe following his movement in a fluid motion. It took him several steps until he realized he was going to the direction where he was not familiar with, the bridge one was the one he was about to take on until that man appeared. Nate hesitated for a second and looked up to the sky to check the whether it was getting dark or not. There was still time, he thought and debated in his mind whether to crosspaths with the man or not. If he keeps this on too long, he won't be able to make his contract and he wouldn't let this man ruin his moment.[break]
[attr="class","starrytext"]he stare at the angry little runt for a brief second. but as the male turned enlil took hold of his cape simultaneously. tugging upon and, therefore, choking him with his own cloth. "ah, oops." he uttered unenthusiastically. "i don't even know and you're a pain in my side." he had half a mind to let him wander in this place to his dumb, unknowing that he was a mage. the individual looked frail from afar, and even up close even more frail.
"i can't let you go." enlil casually stated. he'd also add, with straight face from how the male studied the sky, "you're contemplating on whether i should escort you or not, aren't you?" he held a mischievous grin. poking fun at the traveler due to sensing his bewilderment of being lost. it was something fun to snicker at, hilarious even. and so enlil, without any remorse, snickered from behind.
"you know if you just ask, i may be willing to take you where you got to go." enlil knew half the towns nearby and what parts to not go to. to keep his distance, and what paths to steer clear of. right now, his best, and only bet, was to simply ask. enlil wasn't going to just offer himself up for fun. with a cheeky grin, he awaited for the man's beck and call. taunting him with each snicker, "come on, come on, don't be such a coward. there's nothing wrong with asking for help!" enlil taunted.

Nate took small steps that he regretted because the man who was a stranger and yet keep on bugging him, pulled his robe back. The lad almost get choked on the pull and he had step back to ease the tension on the robe. "What the hell you want!" Nate yelled angrily at the man and turned around slightly pulling the man's arms towards him if he ever decide to keep on holding. "Look I don't know you think of me, but definitely I am fine my own." He tried to reason with the man and sighed in exasperation. This day haven't been good lately after he came to the plains. Could this day even get worse? He thought and crossed his arms with an annoyed face.[break] [break] "Not a chance jerk." He said with a smirk on his face and looked up to the sky, eyes locking with each other. Nice orbs you got there, he commented in his thought. His gaze moved to the other parts of his face and found out that the man has good looks. But still a jerk, he retorted his thought and sighed.[break] [break] The sun slowly moved around the sky and the situation between the two slowed it even still. Nate wanted to be free from the man's grip but doesn't have the power to do so and if he would fight the man, he doesn't have enough spirits to fight. Sure he has Lyra but she was on support and Caelum's ability was still unknown to him. This pushed him into the corner of his mind with desparation. And yet still not wanting Nate to leave the man offered in an indirect to help accompany Nate to any place he wants and all he needs to do was ask. "Nope, not happening dummy." He shook his head and added. "I wouldn't want to trust my care to someone who I do not know and apparently acts like a jerk." Nate nodded to himself there and attempted to lightly backhanded the man's hands if ever he was still holding to hid robe. The force on that action might not be enough but it was a good attempt nonetheless.[break]
the kid reminded him of someone he knew. little did enlil know, he was actually older than him. but it was probably due to a height difference and the male's personality trait being exhibited was what made enlil think otherwise. "you sure do whine a lot." enlil tried to think of a way to get the male to settle down. whenever he threw a temper tantrum his adoptive father sent him flying with a powerful tailwind.
that wasn't pleasant.
enlil remembered something. the stranger that slapped his hand away reminded him of a girl who was throwing a temper tantrum. the male companion with her had done a trick. it was an interesting trick, he wanted to try it. now was better thane ever. "oi." enlil stated strongly.
he'd step closer to the male. his body towering over the greenette. without saying anything, crimson colored orbs stared into the male's own eyes; fiercely, piercingly. enlil placed one palm of his hand upon the male's cheek and the other palm upon the other side. with his bare, masculine roughed hands. he'd stare into the male's eyes intensely.
slowly, he began to lean. his lips beginning to do something strange--odd even. had the male chosen to not move, he'd press his lips upon the center of the male's forehead. had the greenette chose to accept his gift and remain still, enlil wondered if it were enough to calm him down. regardless, he'd say, "you're being a nuisance and stubborn. if something were to happen to you i wouldn't hear the end of it if someone saw me with you and then your body turned up dead. i'm being blamed for your stubbornness, stop being annoying." enlil stated bluntly. releasing the male all the while.
what sort of reaction would this garner from the stranger? probably--no--most likely an unpleasant one...maybe.

A fit of irritation that was Nate, held an annoyed look at the male in front him. He'd put him enough trouble for today but suddenly the green-haired lad could feel something terrible that was about to happen. However, the thought flew away as the taller man opened his trap of a mouth. Him pointing out of how Nate whines a lot seems to have become a compliment to him, a melody to his ears. "And you sure do mind other people's business." He retorted with a smirk of course. Nate might be small and frail to look at buf he still tries to make up for it through his words. After all, words hurt more than actions.[break] [break] His comeback to what the male had said, made the wizard feel confident of himself. He even kept the smirk when the male called out to him. "Ye--" However all the confidence suddenly crumbled like sand custle being hit by the waves and the following actions became fast and unbelievable. His green orbs was met by a beautiful red ones, like rubies, with a look that was different. It wasn't the usual look he gave to him before and it held strong emotions. The man's masculine pair of hands carressed his cheek and the thought of him giving Nate surprise kiss invaded his mind. Heart palpiting like crazy and his face become red like cherry tomatoes. Is he gonna do it? His thought with a troubled face. Situations like this were new to him and his mind was going berserk on trying to understand what just happened.[break] [break] Nate for the first time with his mouth shut, watched the male's following action. It was a slow yet heart-racing move as he was about to connect his lips with Nate. And as he was getting closer and closer, his thought became like a child who was about to get his first vaccine and watching the syringe impale his skin with the man being the latter - this scared him for what was about to happen. The signals on his brain were everywhere when their faces were inches apart and instincts kicked in and Nate bowed his head a little as the kiss planted on his green hair. It took him seconds of what just happened and with all his might pushed the man away from him. Nate raised his head back and stared at him in the eye, his expression mixed with being flustered and anger.[break] [break] "Why did you do that?" His first sentence so far after that kiss. It was the very first thing he ever thought and his mind was still scattered away while he recover back his thought process. He was never this embarrassed in his whole life and he started to regret coming to this cursed lands. The man explained and or whatever of his concern to Nate due to coming to the plains. The man had a point but he does not know what Nate was capable of and what the other male said had hurt his ego. "Did you just underestimate me?" He cut off the man mid sentence and took a step towards him. "Yeah I mean, I look weak I get that." Nate paused before continuing. "But don't you dare put your responsibility one someone else just because they look frail and helpless. If you want to help you can just ask but don't extend it too much by being stubborn and all and disrupt them from doing what they want. I purposefully came here for a reason." His voice came out surprisingly calm, I guess what he did was effective? "Although don't do that again please, you'll normally earn a slap after that. But I'm too old for that I guess.. But really don't do that." He sighed as he finally let the dam free the waves of emotions. Hopefully this will turn out good, he thought optimistically.[break]
[attr="class","starrytext"]enlil produced a coy expression. a curling grin, enlil would let the male push him away. taking a step back or two, he'd say, "i saw someone do that to another person and it calmed them down. i wanted to try it." enlil didn't see much wrong with it. didn't physical contact within an affectionate manner help quell a flustered mind.
from the looks of it it worked with this one. "you got it, cap'n." he grinned. of course he had no intention of doing it again. he merely wanted to test something out. "doing that doesn't really suit me, anyway. but it's always fun to try out new things, especially on the unsuspecting." plus, it got him to stop with all the whining. seriously, the guy didn't have a single spine.
"sorry, but being stubborn is my greatest ability." it was what many hated yet adored him for. it got the job done. "also, you shouldn't call yourself weak and frail so easily," enlil suggested, "i mean i might think it of course. but that's not something you should think." enlil did see the male as weak and frail, but he was strong in other aspects. he had a strong, albeit stubborn, willpower to say no or turn down a helping hand. that's good, you shouldn't trust strangers.
"your ability to detect a trustworthy person or no is pretty strong." quickly, he realized what he'd just said. "though, you shouldn't trust me either i guess. i do have a knack for gettin' into trouble." but he was pretty strong so it was good to trust him, but at the same time it wasn't. he was always ready to leave someone for dead pretty quickly. but that's just enlil, he still had a lot of growth to do.
"look, i'm willing to get you where you gotta go--free of charge as an apology." seriously, he didn't want to leave this guy out here on his own. there was bound to be trouble rummaging around these neck of the woods still. especially since he's not sure if he took care of all the wild beasts in this area. it'd suck if he got attacked. "night time's just around the corner too..." enlil stated, staring up at the clouds as the sky became a tint of peach; the moon peeking as it slowly emerged.

Somehow the light push Nate just did was successful as seeing the man just got pushed back with little steps. Did I really muster up all those strength to push him? He thought and carefully listened to the words flowing out from his lips. It was true that he calmed down yet he laughed in his mind for only becoming calm through a kiss om the head. And yet to think that he was now old, 23 years old, to be in fact he needs mature at this time of age. However who was he to blame? He was too busy trying to become strong for his only sibling and to avenge his parents. In fact, he get even jealous to a complete family or even the ones with only a parent left.[break] [break] The crimson-eyed male calling himself "stubborn" earned a light chuckle from the green-haired boy. "Sorry for that."" He politely apologized. From this, Nate might've realized something that was different from first seeing the man. Did I just become comfortable from him? Was all he thought and he focused on the man again. He a little bit encouraged the older man - as Nate see it. Which was weird because he was the one, in this situation, would be the one encouraging someone who was younger than him. "Thank you," He spoke after and his face now wore a small genuine smile. "I am really trying my best to become strong but I guess all I do was whine. Like I did before." The green-haired continued and chuckled coyly abit.[break] [break] The bright yellow sun somehow travelled quick but Nate however did not notice this. The taller man's compliment about his personality warmed his heart. "You think so? It always came out naturally for me and don't worry I really don't trust easily," His hands together now and hanged at his abdomen. "Especially to a dashing man like you." A compliment flew straight out from his small mouth. He instantly regretted this as he starts to feel flustered however he hid this with a little chuckle with his head lopsided.[break] [break] "I guess I'll let the white flag wave and let you lead me this time. Besides I wee bit trust you that you will not do harm on me." Nate spoke politely as he usually do and put on great emphasis on the 'wee' word. The sound of insects that came out during the evenings made the lad to become aware of his surroundings. "You're right, it was getting a dark and I need to form a contract now." He spoke and immediately realized that the man may misunderstood the 'contract' a bit. "I'm a celestial wizard and I just need to form these special agreement or 'contract' with the spirit to be able to fully summon it. And I was hoping to do it in a secluded and quiet place such as this and be able to test it out since there were monsters here." Nate spilled the reason for his travel to the plains without a doubt from doing it to a stranger, although he was comfortable enough to tell him that.[break] [break] "However I could just do it now, in this spot if you don't mind. It will just be quick and," He just shrugged at what he said and watched the place slowly losing a light source."Also, I would love it to have a company in walking out of this plains." Nate spoke shyly as his face flustered, thanking the dimming light of the place for masking his blush. However one might see it if they clearly just focus on the shift of colors from his fair skin.[break]
