As you launch into complaints about your lack of food, the trip, and disturbances in the area, Ahi starts to crack.

In their palms are wooden spears. “Tribunal battle. Fight each other and if we decide you’re worthy, and if we decide you are mercenaries like you say, maybe then we answer your questions.”

[attr="class","starrytext"]ezrik was really good with doing the talking--is what enlil would say if they were dealing with regular men. it seemed as though they didn't care for anything he or enlil had to say. enlil merely stood staring at the tribe of men. as one of them spoke, he merely watched--rose colored cheeks--as they were pointed at with sharp spears formed from the man's sand magic.

he had one more time to point something at the sky dragon's face. no magic power would save him from a physical beat down. it was hot, they were given no food, no water. enlil was just about ready to knee these petty con artists. "let me get this straight." enlil interjected.

"you want us to fight each other in order to prove ourselves to you that we're worthy?" enlil stared blankly at the men. "you just want us to fight each other and waste what little strength we have for no reason." he bluntly stated. "if you really wanted to have us prove ourselves you'd have us fight two of your strongest men." fighting ezrik wasn't an issue. in fact he contemplated it. he really contemplated it, the offer was too tempting to pass up. but that would only come back to bite him in the butt later.

"i rather not fight someone who's apart of my guild. it's one of the many, many boring rules i was told to follow." if anything, ezrik was his chaperone. the blonde was his leash. an unnecessary fight would definitely come back to bite him in the ass. "can't you just have one of us fight against your own. we're not some entertainment." these men were toying with them. enlil didn't take too kindly to being toyed with. he was just about reaching his limits, one could tell as his nails began to dig into the palm of his hands--blood trickling from the palm of his left hand.

In it's rarity, Ezrik actually showed a brief look of surprised, partnering it with a comment, "I was readying myself to take a punch just now." And it's true, he had fully believed Enlil would have relished in the opportunity for a little scuffle with another dragon slayer; and Ezrik also believed him to be one to take the first shot whenever given the chance.

There was a small sense of pride at how the junior member was behaving according to the rules. Although his diplomatic skills didn't seem any better than his own.

Still, he'd try to support the white-haired slayer.

"He's correct, those are the rules. But I'd abide by either demand from you," he started, addressing the leader. "But truthfully, it would make for better entertainment if it was one of us against one of you. My partner and I know each other too well that it would just look like choreography. It's watching and competing with the unknown that is the true spectacle," his eyes a little more fervent at the prospect of gambling. He wanted to offer the idea of debris and collateral damage being eliminated as well, considering how raucous their power sets tended to be.

"Or, if you truly want to see entertainment, I could invite you to watch our junior member spar against our guild leader," even Ezrik didn't know if he was joking or not at his own suggestion.
