WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] This is going to be weird... Approaching a stranger was always a delicate situation, but when you include the dead-er zombies, the devil horns, and a random guy who shoots beams out his mouth it becomes a complicated mess. Regis focused his eyes on her and her appearance. The horns didn't seem to be part of a cosplay outfit, so he chalked it up to it being one of her magical attributes. He read about individuals being able to take on characteristics of things they've beaten, but never witnessed such a thing in person so he had no idea what to expect. [break][break] "I'm asking. Oh right." He scratched the back of his head debating on what to do. Should he tell her his real name? He doubted she even knew who the prince of Valeria even was. Then again, that would be a stupid gamble to make. Would it really matter in the end though? If he accomplished his mission, she would eventually join him back in Niflheim and his secret would be safe until he chose to reveal it to the world. Fuck it he understood that being genuine was much more important when it came to making new friends. [break][break] "My names Regis. May I have some of your time to tell you why I'm here?" Regis decided to use a friendly approach first. He understood though that this was ultimately a mission and he was to bring her to Caprisun willingly, or by force. He really hoped he wouldn't have to use the latter.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] Her friend certainly had a way with words he thought to himself. Regis imagined the kind of friends a girl like her would have. They would probably terrorize him to no end. "You are incredibly tactless. Not everything can be done with brute force, you know?" [break][break] If there was one thing she was extremely good at other than fighting, it was her way of tracking. Though they both possessed the same capability to track scent, her experience in doing so was far greater. Maybe she lived in the forest at one point? [break][break] Regis couldn't help but be amused as he watched her attempt to match his movements when it came to tailing a person. He was far the better man for this type of job. It was something he was taught by his mother, and then further reinforced when he joined Nilfheim. Trailing someone was a technique that required great attention to detail as well as light feet. "Stop grumbling." Regis whispered to her. He had to put his hand on her shoulder a few times to keep her from moving too far ahead and ruining the entire plan. [break][break] It felt like they walked from one end of the city to the other before the man finally came to a halt and made a right into a dark alley. Regis stopped Elysia from going on ahead and motioned to her that he would look first. He took small, noiseless steps forward before peering into the dark alley. The man was being let into a door that appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the alleyway on the wall. They had placed the door under some kind of camouflaging spell. [break][break] "Elysia it's your lucky day. You get to break into their base! Time to put your destructive powers to use." Even though both of them possessed highly destructive magic, Regis recognized the entertainment she received from doing these kinds of things. He walked with her to where he saw the guy enter, and stepped back allowing her the space to do her best work. "This goes without saying but, we're going to raid and knock them all out. We're only capturing the leader."
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] Death had claimed the strongest person he knew. It had taken her so quickly from him and left Regis with absolutely nothing but painful memories. He understood life was fragile, that people died all the time—but it just wasn't fair. It was never fair when the one's closet to you died, especially when there was still so much left to do with them. [break][break] Regis stood there in the garden, resting his back against the cold marble fountain. He wanted to be alone, and this was the only place aside from his room that came close to that sort of feeling. Unfortunately, he was never truly alone. The King, his father, always had eyes on him wherever he went. There was no such thing as privacy when it came to that man, and there was certainly no such thing as love from him either. [break][break] Meina, his mother had been buried the day prior. All the tears he cried for her were done in his room, with no other eyes to witness. He would not be weak in the face of his mother's death. That's what they want, that's what they expect.. he thought to himself. Regis was the true heir to the throne and he would not allow himself to look unfit for the job. His mother raised him with dignity and strength, and the virtues she instilled with him produced the character that he possessed now. He would not let that go in vain. [break][break] Any emotion that normally showed itself on Regis' face was long gone. It would take weeks, maybe months for the boy to crack a genuine smile again. Even the arrival of his dear brother did nothing to stir anything inside of him. It was simply another disturbance to his desire for peace and quiet. [break][break] "Theo" He said quietly, acknowledging his brother's presence. Regis was in his own world, so much so that he didn't notice the parasol that provided the two of them with shade from the sunlight.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] She took forever to turn around. The men that were originally there to hunt her were now long gone. His steely gaze locked with her own for just a moment before she decided to ignore him and jump god knows how many feet into the air. Caprisun what did you get me into? [break][break] She favored the zombies over him. This was truly the first time something that was undead was chosen instead of him. Regis watched her flow effortlessly in battle, moving from one target to the other, leaving each one more undead than before. She was very quick with her movements, and he noticed each strike was thrown with purpose—something that impressed him even more. It took practice, or some innate talent to be able to really know how to strike like that. [break][break] Regis was, however getting tired of being ignored. He waited for the opportune moment to make his own entrance, one that she wouldn't be able to ignore. As she finally distanced herself from the last few creatures, Regis quickly acted. Ether built up inside his maw as a glistening golden orb appeared in front of his mouth and instantly a beam of golden energy with a blue hint shot forward. The beam exploded into a wider cone as it traveled and engulfed the undead in its star-like energy. The undead were unable to move any longer. [break][break] "I'm not here to hunt you, but I am here for you. Are you the one that has been staying out around here?" He said to her. Regis didn't notice that the hood he was wearing was no longer covering his head, as the energy from the spell pushed it back.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] She was an aggressive woman who had a knack for breaking things. Her attractiveness may have been undeniable, however, all he could think about was the men she probably scared with her dominant personality—all for the better he assumed as she needed someone who could match that energy. Elysia had the bravery to just snag his tea. Though, what was he really going to do? It wasn't really an issue in his eyes. [break][break] "What are you, a dog?" He continued with his sarcasm. [break][break] It was true that the wife was a popular target, but the two of them already knew that the gang's settlement would be close to where the King and his family slept. As they continued to talk, his silvery eyes noticed a suspicious person in the cafe talking to the owner across the room from them. He had an insignia that was similar to the one that the boogeymen used. It couldn't be that easy to find them, could it? [break][break] "You need to stay away from sugar, anyway that tea wasn't for you." Regis pointed to the guy he had been eyeing for the past few minutes. "Look at that, is that their symbol? We should follow him." He whispered to her. It was their only lead for now and whether it led anywhere, they'd find out eventually.
[break][break] Regis knew he made a mistake the moment he stepped inside the cabin and the door slammed shut behind him. The floor on the inside was much softer than actual wood, and the humidity he felt around him was very different from that of an old house. He felt whatever he inside rose from its previous position and it caused him to stumble a bit. [break][break] With the illusion dispersed, Regis still couldn't properly see as he was trapped within the maw of a large creature. The prince wasted no time in gathering his own ether into the center of his body. This was a move that he was almost certain would work in some way. [break][break]
Once the ether had finally gathered, he let it explode outward in a chaotic fashion. Bright golden magical energies with a slight blue tint erupted from his being. With the surroundings temporarily lit up, he understood his current situation. He hoped this spell would cause the creature to at least open its mouth for a second. [break][break]
[break][break] His eyes watched in anticipation as the light produced by his spell began to dim. Regis heard the Goblin cry out in pain. Though, before he had a chance to captilize, a piece of flesh entered his sphere of vision and smacked him right in the lips. Instinctively he licked his lips, and this caused a gagging reaction. He spat on the ground in front of him before looking forward towards the Goblin who was clearly in pain. [break][break] The glowworms showed him exactly what he wanted. A Goblin cupping her chest because of the success of his last attack. There was no need to wait any longer. It was either her, or the two of them, and Regis wasn't going to allow that Goblin a chance to regain its senses. [break][break] The moon dragon slayer released the power of the stars and allowed it to circulate within his veins. He felt the Ethernano pulse within him. A newfound strength welled up inside as his potens rigel had activated. "Watch my back." He said to Aerys as he dashed at the vulnerable monster. [break][break] Regis closed the distance rather quickly. As she was now in the perfect range, Regis timed a flying knee into the temple of the kneeling Goblin. If the attack connected, and caused her to fall onto the ground he would follow up with another attack. Regis would continue to stomp her face in until he noticed she wasn't breathing any longer.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] There he sat in a mostly empty cafe, alone and waiting for his partner to arrive. Though partner wouldn't be the word he'd use. More like, acquaintance, for now anyway. Regis hardly knew anything about her. It was just his curiosity in her that made him accept the proposed mission. [break][break] Despite her love for making memorable entrances, it seemed she wasn't the type of girl to arrive on time. How disappointing. Though he'd remember that for the next time if there was a next time. [break][break] He pulled down his half-mask so that he could drink the freshly brewed tea that he ordered. Seconds later, his nose perked up as it caught her familiar scent once again. His eyes looked up from the table in a half-glare as he stared her down as she approached. "You think that makes up for you being late?" His tone was sarcastic. [break][break] "I'm almost as pumped as you are. Do you have any idea where their headquarters might be?" Regis had no information on their current whereabouts. "I figure they'd have to be stationed close to the Nobels, as I doubt their magic possesses a huge range." He rubbed his chin with the top of his hand while he continued to think.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] It was a pain in the ass having to come out this far, he thought to himself. Since he had been taken in by Caprisun, and his identity protected, the guild master did not shy away from making him her slave. Anything she wanted to be done, she requested Regis personally—and today was just another one of those requests. [break][break] He was told of a certain woman causing a commotion in the home of the dead. She sure did pick a hell of a location to cause trouble in... Regis continued to walk along the dirt road, moving deeper into the forest and closer to the base of the mountain. There was a hint of death within the air, something that was to be expected. [break][break] As always, Regis wasn't briefed at all about where he was going. The home of the dead was an oddity to him, one that he had never experienced—only through books that he read as a kid. Now, here he ventured deeper into the forest without a care. He had on a silky black shirt, black pants, a half-mask, and a hooded cape. The only trait of his noticeable this late at night were his glistening, silver irises. [break][break] Screaming coming from further down the path pushed him to move quicker. As he approached the source of the commotion, the silhouette of a woman was visible. Is that her? [break][break] Ignoring what was going on in front of her, he screamed out. "Are you the one the rumors are about?" Whatever she had wanted to do with the group of men was up to her. If she allowed them to run past her, as would he. Truthfully, he was a bit excited to face off against the rumored undead.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] By the time Regis finally had composed himself, the Goblin had literally thrown down her breasts and was preparing herself to do battle. Aerys would be of no help fighting in this narrow hallway. The fire he was so good at utilizing proved useless in areas with little oxygen as there was no obvious exit for the two Niflheim Mages. [break][break] "Stay prepared." [break][break] The hallway was narrow, and with both the mages standing side by side there was no more room to spare as they were both basically rubbing against the walls on either side. Ms. Goblin with the big ol' breasts was spinning violently towards them. Her entire being filled the front of the hallway, and with the lack of light in the area, she truly looked as though she towered over the two of them. [break][break] Regis dug his heels into the ground and quickly gathered ethernano within his mouth. His magical energies combined with the ambient ethernano produced the magic that was only used by him and his grandfather. A sparkle of gold appeared momentarily in front of his mouth, instantly followed by an explosion of golden energy with a blue hue that fired with an intense velocity towards the Goblin. The spell would consume her and hopefully put a stop to her moving forward. Though he was ready for the possibility of her to bust right through his spell.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] Regis' attention was focused on the steady darkness in front of him. He trusted his movement and kept walking forward. His eyes picked up on the flash of light that quicky disappeared into the forest. It was almost like the glare of a beast. Whatever it was, it was agile. [break][break] Elysia spoke about not being able to pick up on smells. Regis' ears perked up to that comment. It seemed her senses were on the same level as his own. Coupled with the air of familiarity earlier, he could only ponder on what that all meant. [break][break] "If you deal the killing blow, you can eat the whole thing." [break][break] She was a wild one, much wilder than him. Though Regis himself had become a lot more of a loose cannon ever since what had transpired at the Kingdom. He was no longer completely guided by morals or virtues, instead, his desires are what drove him forward. [break][break] The party came to a halt once they ran into a disgustingly old cabin. This wasn't something Regis was going to pass up. "Well guys, why not see what's inside?" He chuckled as he walked towards the cabin slowly. As each step carried him closer to the mouth of the house, the magic in his being began to channel and swell up inside him. He would step inside the house and take a look around.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] "Me too." [break][break] The whole area had an ominous feeling to it. An underground area that seemed unexplored by a human presence in ages. It all felt so ancient. Places like this always had something hidden away. Regis knew if they ever escaped this place that they would have trouble ever discovering it again. Which to him meant, having to find as much out about this location as possible. [break][break] It might have been arrogance to think that he was going to get himself and Aerys out of this mess, but he was not the type to accept death even when faced with the grim reaper itself. [break][break] Something was coming at them, and quick. His eyes had never deviated their attention from the path forward, therefore the object that came into his line of sight was quickly noticed. Regis stepped to the side while the object cut through the space he was just occupying. He didn't bother to look back at what it was. The real beast was in front of them. [break][break] His silver eyes gleamed with excitement at taking on this monstrosity. It resembled a Goblin, though her features were much uglier than usual. Up till now, only her facial features were shown. A few glowworms amassed underneath her and revealed the rest of her body. Regis couldn't help but stare, and eventually break out into laughter. [break][break] "My one weakness." He said to himself, holding his belly while he roared with laughter. "Granny tiddies." At the moment Regis was out of commission. This unexpected turn of events caught him off guard. It was up to Aerys for now.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] He felt the air change... It was already too late. [break][break] He tried to reach out to grab his friend. The storm moved too quick. It was too violent. Regis tried to struggle, but it was as if pounds of sand were weighing him down. [break][break] With everything going on he barely noticed himself sinking into the sand. He understood he was being overtaken by quicksand and there was nothing that he could do. Though he was faced with a dangerous situation, there was a calmness that he felt within. Within moments the lack of air seperated him from his own consciousness. [break][break] He now laid unconscious on the cold floor of wherever he currently was. Regis woke up with his mask damaged and his hood ripped from his head. It didn't matter, where he was now he doubted anyone would find him. He noticed his friend knocked out not too far from him. Looking through the dim light he saw the carvings of human faces all over the place. None of the stories he read about as a kid ever spoke of a place like this. The Kingdom did lack in knowledge pertaining to the red desert. He wondered if Caprisun would know about the place they rested in. [break][break] It was hard to breathe underneath all this sand... he thought to himself. "Aerys, wake up!" He nudged at his friend. [break][break] "We have to move quickly. The oxygen is thin so be careful with your fire magic. It will eat up everything in here. Let's follow the trail of glowworms through the hallway over there!" Regis would move forward towards the hallway and through it once his friend was good to go.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] The dry desert air wasn't something the young prince was used to at all. They had barely transitioned into the sandy environment and yet the heat was already quite uncomfortable. These kinds of missions, the ones where the environment was as much of an issue or more than the objective, were the kinds that truly tested and shaped the mental. [break][break] Caprisun, despite being from the desert gave no hints on how to traverse such a large expanse of seemingly uninhabitable land. The only bone she threw them was advice on how to dress. Regis was fitted in light, breathable clothing, a hooded cape that protected his head from the sun and a silk half mask. The half mask coupled with the hood made him unrecognizable and hopefully would keep him out of trouble if they ran into anyone from the Kingdom. [break][break] "Yeah." [break][break] He moved forward, leaving his footprints in the sand which undoubtedly would be gone in the near future as the wind displaces anything that enters this desert. "We should have brought horses." Regis said to his best friend. [break][break] The weather was calm, though the desert was known for its notoriously out of nowhere desert storms that give even the most experienced explorers problems. He would be wary of any immediate changes in the air around him. Regis would not die today, nor any time soon. He had much bigger plans in store.
