Like usual, people found his presence surprising. Forgotten again, and it was a feature that Ezrik was never proud of. Nevertheless, being this way his entire life had built himself an emotional shield to whatever damage he might have suffered as a child for being ignored. He offered a shrug towards Enlil, "No leaving until the request is completed."

The rowdy male's question was a valid one. Two of them weren't need—them being dragon slayers. They outpowered the vast majority of the guild by virtue of fate, and either would do fine on this task by themselves. "Quota," he responded, his tone almost a question. Ezrik didn't dare share the truth of it all. The task required two mages, and many of the lower-brass shied away from working with the sky dragon. In such case, Ezrik was duty bound as well as fit for the task to make sure the job was finished.

The white dragon slayer observed in mild amusement at Enlil's dance. By no means would you consider it a crude and uncouth fighting style; a surprising result from a man with such a wild expression oft times. His own mortuary blade was locked tight in its sheath, and swordsman made no effort to brandish the weapon—at least no time soon. Instead, as the corpses staggered around him, he'd simply side-step their charge. Occasionally one would swipe at him in a lazy motion, but if he back-stepped two or three times, suddenly the fiend was off his trail. Maybe it was the lacrima that drew them further forward, or perhaps it was just his own uninteresting aura.

He'd intervene if they posed a threat to the mages, but for now, he'd watch the green guild member fight. "I think that one still has some will left in it," he pointed with a blank expression towards the moaning torso that struggled to crawl against the grass.

There was a coldness to the eyes of the man that watched zombie after zombie stagger in towards Enlil and company. A coldness not created by the frosty color, nor coldness defined by the chilly haze that accompanied the fresh night. The eyes were aloof—bearing no emotion towards the fruit of Ezrik's own doing.

He had enticed a few stragglers of the undead towards the mage party; bearing no ill-will mind you. Instead it was calculating curiosity that wanted to explore the behavior of the fiery young man that was still green in the guild. Another dragon slayer, and while others praised their prowess, Ezrik saw no difference. Generally, dragon slayer magic tainted the personality with ego, and occasionally—when given the opportunity—the blonde male wanted to see if it ever stood true for the younger mage.

Conclusion were... inconclusive. Enlil strayed away from magic when disposing of the bodies, and after the last was cut down, he slid from his perch of a rock that provided a vantage point and strolled to join his unknowing companion.

Ezrik had entered ear-shot of Enlil's last comment, giving an approving nod to no one. Instead, once he closed the distance, seemingly appearing from nowhere by virtue of his forgettable presence, he mimicked him, "Speed would be a wise decision." He seemed oblivious to the two zombies that moaned their way towards his back. They were off by five or six meters, approaching in in deathly stupor. Even when their noises were obvious and audible, he still refused to turn back, knowing their attention wasn't on him. The mindless never paid him any mind. He'd wait as they'd brush past his shoulder towards Enlil (who was a few feet in front of Ezrik) and the mages working.

[break]like every dragon slayer magician, holy judgment is the most rudimentary as well as the most iconic of spells in his kit. ezrik breathes in the light around him—dimming a sphere of d-rank aoe distance around him (sometimes consuming all of the light to leave a fraction of time in a blackout depending on the light sources in the area)—before unleashing a concentrated white beam that rips through the air at a maximum of d-rank distance and deals d-rank burning damage. the beam is holy in nature, but difficult to explain in elemental damage. the damage is of a burning nature, though it does not replicate the effects of fire. water does not impede its damage, nor does wind stoke its effects. instead it is consistent to everything aside from sin itself. those of dark-based powers will be more susceptible to its judgment. [break]a crux in the white dragon slayer's kit. due to his nature of being a close-range combatant, he has developed this spell as a means to disorient, pressure, and bear down on his opponents. with energy stored, ezrik can release it in a visual echo of one of his movements. if he swings his sword, then a short time after, an after-image composed of translucent light while also be swung, dealing d-rank cutting damage. the versatility of this skill comes from directional input of this skill. as long as he has a movement to mimic, the spell can come from an mirrored side. if he swings right, the spell would be reflected to have his after-image swing from the left. if he kicks up, the light will stomp down. the time from his normal swing to cast cannot exceed one-second of wait time. in addition, he can volley this after-image out to a maximum distance of d-rank magic distance.[break]

[break]ezrik congregates accumulated light energy to a singular point within his body (typically his hand, or one of his eyes) in order to impair his target's vision at a maximum range of d-rank magic. if gazed upon, the energy pulsates, searing an image light that blurs and blotches the vision of his target. while looking at the point of energy will be blinding in nature, and difficult to see through with blurriness and splotches masking everything in sight, there is no damage until he actually chooses to finish the cast. the finalizing of the cast will leave his opponent with a prolonging headache from the mental exhausting of the light attacking the cones and rods within the eyes.[break]

Ezrik is an elusive figure within the guild. In fact, he is an elusive figure within life itself. A mysterious air plagues him, and much of his history or personality are socially constructed by drunken rumors. What is never disputed is his effectiveness within his craft. Whether it is determination or just a dutiful nature, Ezrik is regardless as a man to rely on when it comes to work and teamwork. From his past, he shows exceptional ability in working with others, and has robust tactical wisdom when it comes to cooperation and the use of magic in general. Despite these positives, rarely does he ever appear in the spotlight as proud and famous members of the guild. Instead, he continues to be a hidden character in the background, coming to people's minds only when they witness him in crossing. And even then, his unimposing personality makes every encounter with him fairly forgettable.

Beyond that, most members do recognize parts of Ezrik's history. While not an old veteran of the guild, he does have years of experience within Magia Dragon under his belt. It is public knowledge that he used to be a kingdom mage before retiring from his position as one of the defender's of the kingdom some time ago. Many attribute his abilities to the kingdom's training, and even blame his personal style as a remnant from being raised prim and proper within the safety and wealth of the castle walls. Although he is not nobility, many assume he comes from some family of noble prestige.
