WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

[attr="class","starrytext"]"well, you're right about one thing. i don't think i've been the same since." then again, you'd actually have to had known yourself during the years of adolescent. he never knew his birth parents, where he was born, or if he was even from this continent. but it didn't stop him from creating something from nothing.
"what an odd thing to say, miss gloom and doom." he called the girl. a nickname given. what she'd said would sound probably selfish to another person. at least, it would sound selfish to someone from within his guild; perhaps ezrik. the righteous holy soldier who saw the good even within darkness--or so he assumed. perhaps he was more ill-suited to attempt to convince someone to join a guild. "don't worry, i'm not the type to wanna convince someone to join a guild. a guild just doesn't suit me either, just in it for the money."
words couldn't have been spoken any truer. "so you sound like you hate the crown more than the soldiers on that fated day. why's that? is it because they choose to ignore the corruption in on this continent--in its people?" enlil asked. drinking a sip of grape wine. eyes darted forward.
[attr="class","starrytext"]'she totally thought it was sick,' enlil thought to himself.
it wasn't until she asked of enlil's goal to reunite with his dragon parent. "him?" he repeated, confused at first. "oooh..." it didn't hit him until a few seconds. ociel the sky dragon, the one who taught him the magic he uses this day. "that's right, ociel." thinking about it for a brief second. his gaze shifted to the side for a moment, "mmm...no." he stated bluntly.
"either dad's dead or he just doesn't want to be found." either way, it was the royal family's fault for their separation to begin with--or so he believed. "i remember returning to the forest that day before i was taken from that place. he wasn't there when i returned." little did enlil know. dragons couldn't be killed so easily by humans, but it was ironic that his father disappeared without a trace. "maybe he's still alive and testing me. to see if i'll be able to do some complex magic or something." to which, if he was. that was a bad idea. he had no interest in learning the enchantment aspect of his abilities.
"and if he's relying on me to learn some new crap and is putting me through a test. well, he better hope i don't obtain immortality or else he'll die of old age waiting for me to learn or pass this test." it was pretty clear that, after long years, ociel was probably dead. but, for now, that wasn't the focus of his target. "besides, i'm more interested in learning about my birth parents these days."

the kid reminded him of someone he knew. little did enlil know, he was actually older than him. but it was probably due to a height difference and the male's personality trait being exhibited was what made enlil think otherwise. "you sure do whine a lot." enlil tried to think of a way to get the male to settle down. whenever he threw a temper tantrum his adoptive father sent him flying with a powerful tailwind.
that wasn't pleasant.
enlil remembered something. the stranger that slapped his hand away reminded him of a girl who was throwing a temper tantrum. the male companion with her had done a trick. it was an interesting trick, he wanted to try it. now was better thane ever. "oi." enlil stated strongly.
he'd step closer to the male. his body towering over the greenette. without saying anything, crimson colored orbs stared into the male's own eyes; fiercely, piercingly. enlil placed one palm of his hand upon the male's cheek and the other palm upon the other side. with his bare, masculine roughed hands. he'd stare into the male's eyes intensely.
slowly, he began to lean. his lips beginning to do something strange--odd even. had the male chosen to not move, he'd press his lips upon the center of the male's forehead. had the greenette chose to accept his gift and remain still, enlil wondered if it were enough to calm him down. regardless, he'd say, "you're being a nuisance and stubborn. if something were to happen to you i wouldn't hear the end of it if someone saw me with you and then your body turned up dead. i'm being blamed for your stubbornness, stop being annoying." enlil stated bluntly. releasing the male all the while.
what sort of reaction would this garner from the stranger? probably--no--most likely an unpleasant one...maybe.
[attr="class","starrytext"]"would you cut that out?!" he annoying shouted at the barbaric woman. pulling away from her. he'd begin to fix his hair. the one thing he hated most was electricity for this reason alone, especially because it was in the hand of someone like her. if he could remove magic she'd be the first person worth extracting.
"guild mark? of course i'm not kicked out. unlike everyone there, i'm the sanest there." surprisingly, though maybe it was ezrik. no he was too much of a stickler. anyway, she wanted to see a guild mark, so he'd show her. raising his shirt and lowering his pants a little, the mark could be found upon his left torso above yet near the v-line.
"i wanted to put it on my tongue, but then i realized i kind of liked the mark. why not put it somewhere i can show it off every now and then." he cockily grinned. but before he could say anything else she called his name. "ah, what do you want?" he asked. looking toward direction.

[attr="class","starrytext"]time was all he needed. and cain provided that. without so much as a whisper, he moved like the wind as he deviated from his comrade. "you heard my partner," enlil uttered, jumping onto the roof upon cain's final shot. he'd raise a single fist, with a devilish grin, "please get hit!" and to the perpetrator's surprise, he'd be hit with a single fist. sending the enemy hurdling back and into a chimney.
the enemy slid off of the home's roof. only to fall atop of a pile of trash. enlil looked down from above, whistling at the fall. "he fell pretty hard." he snickered. but the job was done right, right? dusting his hand off. enlil would windup his right shoulder. "well, that's that." but it wasn't until the perpetrator dissipated into nothing but a puff of black specks of dust.
"what the...?" illusion magic. meaning he'd catch enlil off guard with a punch to the face the moment he looked behind him. sending the sky slayer hurdling off of the rooftop and into the pile of trash. enlil groaned as all he could hear was laughter from above. "i'm...so going to kill that bastard." he stated with a growl. not only could they devour dreams, but they also possessed illusion magic.
[attr="class","starrytext"]this place was going to be swept in a blaze of hellfire.
he hated this place. he hated this tribe. he hated this village. he hated ezrik for bringing him back to this place, but did one thing good came from this? yes, it was that they discovered a new settlement. the women were a bit rough, but he wondered what would elysia have thought about this place. she would fit right in.
turning to ezrik. he'd look back to the tribal men. "for the last time we don't work for those people." he groaned, annoyed with the men. "can you let us go already? we're not here to harm your people, if anything i rather get the hell out of here more than anything. plus i'm thirsty and hungry, you lot haven't done anything but torture us on a miserable journey." enlil got straight to the point, "just tell us what we wanna know already about the red dessert!"

standing, enlil began to sniff the air. catching a strong whiff of blood. "oh, yup that's blood. who did you even shoot?" he stated. having forgotten that they were after a gang member. "ah, that must have been the culprit." and so it was time to give chase. enlil followed, pursuing the male on foot.
"i've never even heard of these guys until now." the boogeyman gang, what an idiotic name. enlil wondered what they exactly looked like and could do. they were people who stole dreams. just what the hell would they even need to do that? "dream eaters, this wouldn't need to happen if they just got proper sleep." the perpetrator could be seen jumping from roof-to-roof. enlil taking notice of how agile the being was under the moonlit sky.
"well, there he is. this is your expertise, start shooting and don't miss!" he barked to cain as they ran upon the pavement across from the perpetrator.

[attr="class","ooc"]uther valeria mission: --- notes: i'll do better, this post was weak as shiet.
[attr="class","starrytext"]"practice, huh?" he'd take hold of the item. twirling it within the palm of his hand. "i don't know anything about practicing. my father said i was lucky to even be able to learn the magic that i have." dragon slayer magic was no easy feat to accomplish. it came with a lot of consequences when learning.
"he said that you could lose yourself to the magic. the magic would instill vertigo and many other complications from within. it's not a magic anyone can just learn or take on, you had to have an affinity for it." he didn't know what all of that jibber jabber meant. but he had the affinity for his magic, but it made not a lick of sense as to why. this magic relied on the desire to help people, and enlil had no such desire--not anymore.
deep down within though, that desire was merely subconscious and he'd yet to tap into--or rather understand--such a hidden desire. "anyway," tossing his gun back, "you have a pretty unique magic there. the power to uphold any firing arm, you could probably wield something big and massive that could take out a whole army." thinking about it now, something like that would be possible. requip magic was a rare sight, but many who wield this power were feared due to their versatility.
"you should definitely fight me one day. i'd love to have a swing at that fighting style of yours!" a request made for the future. enlil was definitely curious to see what cain was like when he was serious.
[attr="class","starrytext"]"alright then, miss traveler." he uttered, eating another bite. "so you're saying you don't want vengeance for those people?" if he understood correctly. "do you hate the royal family for not scolding their soldiers for taking the lives of innocents?" he sure did. he didn't know what he'd do if he met one of the children of the royal family. he'd probably kill them, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
"i mean, what if you met one of the members of the crown? would you not seethe with rage for what they did?" enlil spoke with a mouthful. "i don't trust the kingdom mage to do a damn thing for the people of this continent. why do you think we have guilds?" though, he's not one to talk. he didn't want to join a guild at first. he only took up the request to join one because of the money.
guild mages were paid more after all. "if i were you i'd find a guild to join, get strong, and find the people who took what was most precious to you and just kill'em." enlil long sought hatred for his tormentors wasn't gone, but he had no intention of hunting them down. but his disdain for those sat upon the throne? well, he'd have to meet someone from the royal family to fully decide what his course of action would be.
to kill or not to kill, that was the question. "wanting to take revenge isn't a bad thing at all. some people think it won't mend the heart, but, in all honesty, it'll do something." enlil said, taking another bite of his meal.
[attr="class","starrytext"]"pfft..." enlil tried to hold it in. but he couldn't. and so a rippling laughter emerged from the male's windpipe. it was pretty hilarious to see a nobleman of his stature give up so easily. enlil can't remember the time when he wanted to give up so quickly. "wait, wait, wait!" maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all.
enlil assumed bellamy and ezrik were the same. but they were two totally, completely, utter opposites. you'd think ezrik was a nobleman and he a dragon slayer with how quick he gave up. "ah man, who would've thought you had such a side to you, noble bell." he nicknamed the gravity user.
picking up the items he threw. enlil would toss them up and down in the palm of his hand. "okay, okay, okay, aside from that hilarious story that you're gonna have to tell me later. you can't just go quitting so easily once you've started." especially because he didn't waste his time taking this stuff out only to give up half-way. looks like enlil was going to have take notes from ezrik.
placing the flint in bellamy's hand, as well as the steel piece, he'd say, "just try it again, noble bell." point at the steel piece, he'd say, "you're hitting it together. you need to slide it down at a 45 degree angle. plus, the edge you're hitting is pretty dull. you need a good sharp edge, like this side right here, if you wanna get a good spark." considering he was someone of high nobility, it wasn't much of a surprise that he couldn't get a spark going.
still, it was funny to watch. enlil would take a cold piece of food from one of the trays. eating as he leaned against the counter to watch. "your personality seriously doesn't match the tone you usually have." it was by far hilarious.

[attr="class","starrytext"]a twitch in his temple made the sky dragon clench his teeth. but before action could be taken, they were suddenly wrapped in sand. "the sand...?" he was a mage that could manipulate sand. the mana he emitted was one that radiated that he was above them in term of magic, but in the end all that made the man was a simple obstacle.
an attempt to fight would be fun, but even then he couldn't guarantee the safety of his partner. it wasn't that he cared for blondie, he could handle himself. but he rather not be the reason they met their end so abruptly. so, he'd respond with, "oh. we got caught." they were going to show them something, but as prisoners.
they were going to get answers more easier. the logical thing to do was wait and bide time. if the events ahead of them proved fruitless, then it was time to dragon up and show the fuck out. "there better be food where we're going, and lot's of water too." he stated within calm tone. they were giving the duo what they wanted, so there was something that came out of this.

[attr="class","starrytext"]"forest of..." he hesitated a moment to finish. hues slightly widened as he tried to hold back his astonishment. "...zephyr." a twitch in the back of his head sparked a memory. he remembered a little bit, but not enough. this girl was from that place. the place that was all but a fleeting memory. something he no longer could, nor wanted to, remember.
as their meal came. he'd come to stare at the steamed potato and mushroomed spaghetti. "that town's long been since gone. why is it that you remember something like that?" why couldn't he. the only thing he could remember was that he had a father who, also, happened to be a dragon. everything else was but a simple, still image. flashing from one point to another.
"i don't remember much. and maybe it's because i don't want to, but that place..." eyeing his meal. he wouldn't respond immediately. he merely just spun his fork within the spaghetti, thinking on what to say. "i've been to that forest before, but the town you mentioned. i heard rumors about it, whispers. that place was over siege by a group of corrupt magic knights." eating his meal, he'd take a bite before continuing.
"the fact someone like you slipped and made it out of alive is something. you're the sole surviving member." which begged the question. if she were a rogue mage, what was she doing here in tekka? "are you traveling? do you live here?" did she, too, hate the crown--the royal family--just as he?
wait, then he thought about it. it'd be a hassle if she tore the place apart because he didn't listen. she already ate half of his power. standing up he'd close the fridge and lean upon the counter. he wouldn't sit on top, he was going to rebel.
he listened intently to her story. so she knew as to who her birth parent was, but was adopted by a dragon--just like enlil. there stories were similar, but also not. at least they had a mutual hatred (he assumed) toward the rich. but his was more or so at the crown than the noble people. "at least you knew your mother, so it wasn't all bad." he thought aloud. arms folded and head lowered as he tried to think of a proper response.
"you knew your mother and you clearly have memories of her." color him amazed, "that's something to be really proud of--to possess a memory like that." she had a briefly horrible childhood. compared to his where he suffered since he was a child. he would never admit it--probably couldn't even if he wanted to--but he was sort of jealous. if anything you could even say envious. "that also explains why you're such a rabid beast and lack the proper personality of a woman with class." he added, ruining the moment without a care.
"i still don't get how someone like you entered cat's cradle. isn't that a guild for the poised and polished, not the barbaric and beastly." he poked at. teasing the female for no reason necessary.

[attr="class","starrytext"]"hoho?" hands holding his own. he'd stare at them for a brief moment. he never held the hand of a woman in such a way before. her hands were small, soft even. but that was all drowned out from the noise his stomach made. "okay, then. maybe we'll get you talking with some booze, let's go. i know a great place." holding onto one of her hands. he'd begin to tug her along.
he escorted the duo to a family restaurant regarded as "iron beef, this place has a lot of...uh...what was that word again?' he'd think about it upon explanation. "oh right, cuisines! ah man, i'm so excited. i haven't been here in forever. they also have pretty good beer, but i wouldn't try the beer surprise!" idle conversation was being made. one that she probably didn't care for, so he'd cut to the chase.
elbow on table, chin resting upon his palm. he'd cheekily smile, saying, "so porcelain doll, tell me your name and where the hell did you come from? someone with a face like yours wouldn't be easy to miss." she had beauty most women would kill to have and many men would want to ravage. a fox-like gaze stared sharply at the girl. almost as if he were trying to find a window into her mind "are you from cat's cradle, did that bitch Elysia Vadala send you here to spy on me?" a coy smile was given.
[attr="class","starrytext"]his mouth was slightly agape. he was shocked. but it was in a way that he was merely surprised by her demeanor. it gave him a strong sense of familiarity, like he'd been through this dance once before. but that would soon all be thrown to the back of his mind as a grin was etched.
following beside the girl. he had nothing to do today and she poked his interest. potato girl seemed like she'd be worth his time. it was better than visiting a brothel anyway. so, as he made himself apart of her life temporarily, enlil continued eating his potato snack. "you shouldn't be so quick to run off, especially after i was so kind to help you y'know." he said, chewing with his mouth full.
"it's not everyday you meet a girl as interesting as you, especially with unique eyes." those ruby jewels matched his own. enlil, for a mere second, wondered if they had some sort of connection or if it were just coincidence. "what's a gal like you doing out here in a place like this, and buying potatoes of all things." looking at the half eaten potato in his hand, he'd add, "potatoes that aren't even that good." and so he'd toss it behind him.
what was that thing people did when they felt bad for doing something? oh, right, apologized. "look, i'm sorry if your father was one of those 'hard workers'. how about i buy you some actually cooked and season steamed ones? i could go for some cheesy ones!" patting his stomach as he talked about food. it made him pretty hungry. but why did this girl interest him? she was the first thing in a long time that made him feel intrigued about something. "do you live here?"
she'd better not had given him the silent treatment.
