With a focus on the Kingdom of Valeria, a country with a deep history revolving around the Moon Dragon, you will be able to play a vital role in the development of this kingdom--unless you choose a different journey. In Giltena, revered dragons have chosen to walk among you, and villains posing as heroes litter both the royal courts and the city streets. Weary traveller, what will you bring to the kingdom? Forge your path, and push forward through a world of magic and dreams.
WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

distinct formations started to dwindle within every blink. their prominence fading like a shadow beneath the light. once there but now gone. her demonic features had seemingly become a figment of the imagination. for all that had remained was human. [break][break]
the motion kept itself steady. those striking red eyes never looking back. nephele may have outwardly disregarded the voice though her mind wandered to all the irritable possibilities. [break][break]
"what a funny thing to say." she said, finally stopping before the opening of the busy street. the shadowy blanket casting them as unnoticed in the narrow alley. "it was not a threat," nephele turned to face him, "would you have rather become a suspect for murder?" her expression was blank.[break][break]
nothing distinct of tone in those sharp features as they awaited for some sort of response. the girl let out a sigh before coming closer to the blonde. her still marginally bloodied hands gently grabbing onto him. "most people run or they scream." the flicker of gravity finally crossed through the pair of rubies.[break][break]
"or... they're a knight." blood—lust was as fleeting as the stars above them. nephele let go of the other with a slight shrugging gesture, "but you didn't do anything. why is that?" magic truly did linger from the blonde. it was nothing quite overwhelming but the girl doubted her own could surpass it.

the voice from behind roused itself as another hunter. however— the trio of blabbering men didn't seem as determined as she had imagined them to be. they quickly tossed the idea of capture as the hoard came ever closer. their frantic figures hesitating to pass the girl. only truly breaking into the dash as she allow them to escape the wrath of the dead. [break][break]
nephele finally glanced back. those sharp red eyes catching the equally biting silver. she leaped high into the air— disappearing within the foliage and landing a few lengths back. swallowed whole by the entirety of the shrilling dead and quickly reappearing in the advance of battle. the fumbling and groaning figures unable to keep up with the girl as she gradually brought them down— one by one. [break][break]
she certainly wasn't overbearing of essence yet her movements were precise and quick. the figure that had trained herself well. the figure that was not fully aware of another calling. [break][break]
nephele gained some distance on the few that were left. wiping the stray beads of sweat from the temple of her crown. she was gradually beginning to realize that the dead weren't as fragile as the living. the few she presumed as defeated— stood back up and charged forth. [break][break]
of course.[break][break]
those captivating eyes narrowed. as much as the girl was confident in her capability, she couldn't guarantee her sanity would keep up with her. the demonic calling was already whispering an urgency for play.

nephele furrowed her brows upon the statement. knowing fully such a thing wouldn't be happening. she was good at keeping her mouth shut. refusing to acknowledge the pester for civility with some well—deserved silence. it was earned— not given for free. [break][break]
trailing behind the brute at a reasonable distance, she observed the dusty texture of the walls and ceiling. regarding the stalagmites even before the place started to tremble. hands shifted in color to a distinct darkness, the demonic change allowing her to deflect the descent. shattering the aged material.[break][break]
it seemed the momentary quake was the least of their worries. what had stood in the distance serving a reasonable guard for whatever settled in the depth. her usual serious expression drawing into a blank at the features of the golem. everything proving to be intimidating till the head was regarded.[break][break]
"careful. something tells me that is not a face of hospitality." she'd heard of so many ruin explorations to know that there were obstacles at every turn. even if they had been quite outrageous. nephele was beginning to think otherwise. her red eyes never leaving the bulky creature and its cute face.

"would you?" she asked, placing her utensils down. the contents of the drink nearly gone but the affect remaining nonexistent. "once you've delved to deep into that world. you won't come out the same." rubies were concealed momentarily by closed eyes. [break][break]
"if you make a mistake. they'll use it against you forever." it was curious that he didn't know who she was. then again— maybe it was relieving. at least there was another who knew of her home. who recognized the sickening turn. brushed aside as though it'd been nothing. the dead couldn't speak after all.[break][break]
yet— here she was.[break][break]
"the darkness may stem from the kingdom but, it isn't everywhere." taking a bite of the delight, she continued after a few appropriate chews, "its like a puzzle. the more pieces you find the more it starts to make sense." nephele smiled alongside her words. "not all of them. rather than hate them for what had happened. i wish they weren't so ignorant. they've been clowned like children." she held up her index finger, the gesture of continuation. [break][break]
"but— i'd be stupid to think the entirety of the crown is innocent." the vile figure was like a disease. it would spread and affect the rest. the issue resulted in finding the source. something the girl didn't expect to find soon. her capability was far weaker than what had been told. the mystery yet to be solved.[break][break]
he was right. revenge certainly didn't mend the soul. the accidental murder made sure that she'd live a life of solitude. "i've tried." nephele said taking another bite, "honestly— i'd bring a guild more trouble than you'd think." friendships broken by the knights desperate to find her. the false tales that none persisted for explanation. was it alright to be this honest?

her gut twisted into alarm as he expressed familiarity for the place. nephele had certainly come from the village yet her home had existed outside of it. the harsh life of the forest a result of what the knights had committed. [break][break]
although it had not been immediate— she knew the man that had taken her in was not her blood—father. still the girl thought nothing of it. there was one thing that tormented her and one mission she'd follow through. the innocents which died deserved that revenge.[break][break]
"unfortunate, isn't it?" she said, taking a bite of one of the many potatoes, "even if you begged for vengeance those wouldn't care. how could they when they don't even remember." nephele had tried before. the forthright cry for this act leaving her as a target. but now— she was the hunter rather than the prey. the karma they couldn't foresee.[break][break]
"i'm a traveler." the girl responded, briefly looking his way. the flicker of mystery seen in her eyes. "i live nowhere but— i live everywhere i guess you could say." a well—said expression given her previous words.

surprisingly the hand was taken and the girl was tugged along. her usual ornery nature unable to turn down the potential meal. [break][break]
if it had turned out to be a sham— then— she'd deal with it the way she always had. though there didn't seem to be anything particularly suspicious about the man. besides the fact he wouldn't shut up. quite the notable contrast.[break][break]
despite not offering a word in the explanation, nephele had been listening. the majority of her concern settled upon the slightly crowded restaurant. paranoia tormented the girl as she tugged the hooding further down. thankful that most were to preoccupied to pay notice. then again— she could never take that chance.[break][break]
after ordering whatever it was they desired, her gaze shifted to those same red eyes. it was unusual that they shared the same color. in—fact this would've been her first time meeting another. however the features did not shift upon the apparent compliment. [break][break]
"well." nephele started, considering her choice of words. there wasn't much harm in speaking of the past. not many people which came from that place were still alive."aside the forest of zephyr. i lived outside of the village there with my father." she grabbed the eventual drink and took a sip.[break][break]
"unforunately it is long gone by now... not many people remember such a place." images of the past were lost in the onslaught. one lonesome hunter was all that kept the girl alive in that cold forest. thinking of it did not lighten her mood in the slightest.[break][break]
"no. luckily for you i am just a rogue." it was curious to know whether or not the other was affiliated with a guild himself. nephele kept her lips sealed however— especially as their food had now arrived. those deep red eyes dazzling with euphoria for the present meal.

nephele gave him the silent treatment. [break][break]
all the while wondering how somehow could blabber onward for so long. his voice flooding her train of thoughts like a buzzing insect. her hand itching to snap forward alongside the potato in one sudden and violent swing.[break][break]
—and then came the offer. [break][break]
stopping immediately the girl turned back to face the other. there was a strange determination etched within her usually colorless features. tinted by a slight blush. [break][break]
"i-i accept your apology and the meal." she said, both of her hands reaching for one of his own, "anywhere is fine. you might even get a few answers out of me." the lips quirked into a smile. it was a sly and obviously mischievous expression.[break][break]
nephele didn't mind dealing with the blabbermouth if it resulted in a nice meal. her gentle grip releasing the larger hand as she awaited for him to lead the way. imagining the delight of freshly cooked potatoes.

she didn't say anything. [break][break]
the weak and sluggish endeavor growing more prominent beneath her dangerous grip. red eyes narrowing towards the seemingly casual witness. 'p-please help me! m-mister!' the merchant cried but— nephele did not let go. [break][break]
once poised for ill intent started to lower gently. deadly claws flicked the visible neck of the man as though it'd been a tease. yet the figure notably flinched at the feeling. she brought herself closer. lips nearly pressed against his ear. her eyes still facing the onlooker. [break][break]
"farewell." the horrid sound of flesh tearing came with those words. he choked on his own blood as the girl stepped away. cold eyes watching him desperately grab at the torn throat. all form of life retreating hastily.[break][break]
her attention shifted immediately towards the blonde. using the dark material of her cloak to wipe at the blood on her hands. it didn't do the duty of riddance but— at least the warmth had subsided. nephele moved once again.[break][break]
it was a casual and nonchalant movement. stepping over the motionless body to approach the one that held such a scarce presence. something the girl considered to be magic. [break][break]
"it'd be best for you to leave." she said, stepping by him, "consider it my good—will and advice." rather— if the other chose to stay it would do him no good. the return of those boisterous 'companions' resounded on the opposite end. the figure departing into the narrow alley. horns still outwardly visible.

it was the worst place to be recognized. [break][break]
more—so nephele had never anticipated it. the land of the undead would've gratified the concern of knightly mages elsewhere. but then again— it seemed anything was possible.[break][break]
three individuals wandered beneath the foliage of the forest. her presence concealed within the greenery as she watched them look left then right. clawed hands did well to grapple into the surface of the tree. keeping her steady upon the thick branch. [break][break]
their voices now lingering.[break][break]
'hey— have you heard about that rumor.' one of them started. 'what rumor?' another quickly followed. 'about that kid. ya'know the prince that died? word been going around he ain't actually dead.' the man appeared content by the idea but, the third shrugged it off. 'what kinda fool would believe that?' their laughter carried into the lifeless terrain. [break][break]
the prince?[break][break]
nephele certainly wasn't ignorant. though she had chosen to disregard royalty. their presence within this world had done nothing to help her. those with power that didn't know how to use it. those that truly knew nothing of this cruel and dark world. it was a waste to remember them.[break][break]
one sharp claw settled between much sharper canines. lightly chewing on the demonic formation as she continued to listen. 'we got better things to worry bout! think bout how much they'll pay us when we catch her!' it was almost humorous given the lies. she'd been regarded a demon or a mage of niflheim. these false tales adding an even crueler reputation to the girl. it was as if it'd been intentional.[break][break]
her figure slipped from above, landing just behind the group with a distinct thud. their eyes followed near in sync to the slow rise of the girl. the shift of deadly horns already apparent.[break][break]
"sorry. but you'll be going home empty handed." she gestured towards them or rather— behind them."at least. the dead think so." distinct gurgling and screaming could be heard. they turned the direction they'd been facing before to see a hoard of undead staggering their way. eerily fast given the state.

the calling was oddly familiar— a sort've déja vu that was lost in the abduction of a perfectly fine potato. she watched him bite into the potato that had once been in hand. clear dread painting itself across her features. [break][break]
it was at ruin now given he had so crudely had a taste. her defeat warping into something akin to anger. thankfully nephele was good at keeping herself together and closed her eyes. one brow distinctly twitching in annoyance.[break][break]
"you shouldn't say that" the girl stated, eventually revealing the indifferent ruby eyes, "the people here work hard for their food. even if does taste like crap." it was a softer tone. contrast to the voice that had roused years before. in a time much different from now. nephele disregarded that stare.[break][break]
"be careful where you're going next time." she said, turning opposite to part ways from the strange individual. leaving him with the potato he had been so keen to state as disgusting. surely it was a misfortune on her part but, it had been free after—all.

the kingdom. [break][break]
she repeated those words within her mind. visibly perturbed that this was for the people far from her regard. thankfully the suffocating wear of the hood did well to mask the furrow and nephele continued onward silently.[break][break]
"would you rather i burn?" the girl questioned, her tone rigid but lacking of emotion. it didn't seem a genuine curiosity rather than a hardened remark. the scarcely covered individual might've been having a better time though— she doubted his flesh would feel content after their venture.[break][break]
over the slight rise of sand stood their destination. nephele hadn't anticipated something of history to be settled before them. the structure undeniably remarkable given its untouched state. it was all brought together for some unknown and mysterious reason.[break][break]
she stopped before the entrance, eyeing the crown of dragons. their emergence into this formation holding some form of semblance. at least she figured there had to be. then again the opposite would've practically screamed it's a trap. those red eyes shifted to the other.[break][break]
"you first, partner." nephele said, gesturing towards the dwelling, "unless you're scared." a slight smile traced those lips. the expression one of mockery and tease. she didn't mind leading the way, but, given the change of scenery it would've better not to take risks.

potatoes.
[break][break]
there was nothing wrong about them.[break][break]
nephele stood before one of many vendors down the busy street of tekka city. her usual stretch of garments concealing her figure well within the mass. unfortunately it could not hide the hunger in those red eyes. although no—one else paid notice, the owner couldn't help but acknowledge a hungry and potential customer. his voice breaking her trance. [break][break]
'i'll give you one for free. you're scaring away my business.' startled by his words, the girl couldn't deny the offer. it was almost to good to be true.[break][break]
"g-give me two." the pale hand reached into the cloak. jewels emerged not a second later and the exchange was made. she continued down the narrow—way as if it had never occurred. the rawness of the vegetable lingering in her mouth, the other tucked firmly in the opposing hand. [break][break]
suddenly her shoulder collided with another. the sharp bump nearly sending nephele and her potatoes reeling. however— she was not that frail anymore. the flash of red caught the bed of silver, their eyes certainly enraptured in the glare as the girl kept moving. not bothering with some form of civility in the accident.

"rem." she finishes, leaving no room for civility in the introduction. it isn't the nature of nephele to reveal her identity. she may take risks but— this is the one risk she is unwilling to take. [break][break]
or maybe that was a foolish idea. half—way into the venture— when the trail is no longer in sight— does the girl greatly regret ever doing this. pale features drip with sweat. as though she'd just stepped from the cool waters of a nonexistent oasis. i'm going to die, nephele thinks, unwilling to toss the cloak. her flesh would surely turn beneath the searing heat.[break][break]
"remind me why scouting this place is so damn important." she says, her voice strained in—between dehydration and annoyance. "or is this some sort of trap?" the glare is directed towards the man. so far— given her previous suspicions however— that idea faded elsewhere. nephele was far to afflicted by the unbearable heat to consider ill omens. especially those that lacked cover. [break][break]
the girl stopped and then she turned. everything around them looked identical. even if they wanted to go back they could not. it was either this cruel continuation or a chance at another useless path. nephele was beginning to think that they'd be ending up nowhere if they didn't try at something else.[break][break]
one visible peak of rugged terrain in the distance catches her eye. "this way." she says, moving her chosen direction whether the other liked it or not. of all the times she wished to use her time— this certainly was not it.

once the basket had tumbled— guilt approached. it started at her gut like a bad stomach ache and then it reached her heart. those firmly clenched hands faded alongside her anger for the boy. brows may have furrowed still yet, the expression painted itself as wistful for her words and actions. [break][break]
"i-i'm sorry." nephele said, crouching down to help him. "but you really shouldn't... it's... it's dangerous." not everyone was as nice or as forgiving. the reputation that built among those which stole didn't help either.[break][break]
"doesn't it get lonely? doing this all the time... your dad must be worried." rather than disbelief for the abduction and name calling of the potatoes she seemed concerned. "a—and you can't just offer what you stole from me! how does that make any sense?" the counter for his words was added with a slight laugh.[break][break]
after assisting with the mess that had been made, she stood upright and dusted herself off. "i—i'm nephele. how about you urchin boy? are you going to introduce yourself before we have some fun?" the tease was added in retaliation to the name—calling. however her lips wore a soft smile and rather genuine smile.
