Moon´glade` n. 1. The bright reflection of the moon's light on an expanse of water.
“MOONGLADE” is a non-canon Fairy Tail rp. Our story begins in the northern continent of Giltena, more than 400 years after the “disappearance of dragons”. With a focus on the Kingdom of Valeria, a country with a deep history revolving around the Moon Dragon, you will be able to play a vital role in the development of this kingdom--unless you choose a different journey. In Giltena, revered dragons have chosen to walk among you, and villains posing as heroes litter both the royal courts and the city streets. Weary traveller, what will you bring to the kingdom? Forge your path, and push forward through a world of magic and dreams.
WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

the encounter was inevitable. [break][break]
why else would the half—naked man be loitering in the middle of nowhere? obviously this was the moment he'd been waiting for— something nephele could only dread as it occurred. the stature loomed over her own. completely shadowing her figure from the glare of the sun. finally she stopped.[break][break]
the mention of the apparent task was all that caught her attention. she'd been inclined to lie of her capabilities but held onto her tongue. those piercing red eyes glimpsed beneath the hooding, one quiet sigh slipping by parted lips. "take a step back." truthfully intimidated by the nature of the large man.[break][break]
it was difficult to show. [break][break]
"romilda, was it?" introductions weren't exactly her forte and it clearly showed. her identity remained a mystery in regards to her desire for understanding, "don't hold me back then." she said, feigning the idea that she had wandered this way just for this task.[break][break]
a clever roundabout in order to deal with this oddity. nephele did not trust the man neither the invitation. perhaps it was a question of sanity if one truly did find ease in strangers.

important people were always on her list. [break][break]
their names cycled like a broken record. flickers of the distant past or the images that cried out within her dreams. one bloody reminder that it was time to move onto the next. this time— a traveling merchant. [break][break]
he was a seemingly harmless man. the smile was as frail as the disguise but he'd convinced them well. it disgusted her that those of such vile nature could blend in perfectly. or perhaps it just wasn't the time regarding the festivities. not that anyone would believe it. [break][break]
they never did.[break][break]
thankfully the merchant was well isolated. he had just finished talking to a group of 'companions' that had now wandered off to fetch some more drinks. nephele approached him quietly, her footfall echoing against the wooden surface of one of many docks. [break][break]
'back so soon?' the voice said with a slur. [break][break]
she kept going till she stood just behind him. the drunken evil not even bothering to look back even when she placed her hands upon his shoulders. "unfortunately." nephele said, finally receiving recognition. [break][break]
'oh! are you here to keep me company darling?' it was a near sickening assumption. but maybe anyone that saw it would've thought the same. "stay still. wouldn't want you to hurt yourself." the hands lingered towards the chin, gripping at it roughly. laughter emanated from the throat. [break][break]
a demonic calling started to whisper. like a bad feeling or a chilly breeze it crept from her form. although the spell had been summoned, the merchant had not the chance to witness her. nephele moved from behind the man carefully, keep her partially changing hand upon his cheek. a once blissful expression grew ill beneath bright red eyes. [break][break]
beginning to lower against the nausea, the clawed hand gripped more firmly, nearly tearing flesh. "twenty." she says, reminding him of the amount that had died under his influence. of course the absent—minded state of a drunk only finds fear in the horns that emerge from her head. [break][break]
'g-god!' the voice cries as the opposing hand raises. "god will not save you." although the finishing blow is so close she stops herself. one figure stands just a few feet away. clearly a witness to everything that was bound to unfold. her expression twists into shock as she stands there quietly. as though a living statue.

nephele hadn't grown up in a hot region. [break][break] before being discovered in the wasteland of endless snow, she couldn't have imagined it being any different. when summer had come, giving riddance to the chill, it was nothing in comparison to this. one enormous stretch of torrid land— bathed within the absolute heat.[break][break]
no wildlife. no greenery. [break][break]
it may have been a necessary short—cut to her desired location, but she was beginning to wish she'd never shifted path. beads of sweat were forming against her pale features. the heaviness of the cloak and worn red dress doing nothing to aid the cause. at least it was a route hardly occupied by travelers. [break][break]
or— so she thought. [break][break]
in the distance just a few lengths off path loitered an individual. one muscular, tall and naked man. nephele had to gather that information a second time when she realized it was a possible weirdo. her expression stiffened and she stopped before taking in a breath. don't look his way, she thinks, her pace for walking suddenly much quicker.

"what!?" she barked back, astounded by the insult. an idea roused to her mind just as quickly. retaliating the crude nature of the boy that now stood before her. [break][break] "well that's to bad," the girl started, a sly smile approaching her youthful features, "i was going to share some if you just apologized!" or maybe that was a lie. then again, nephele wasn't exactly unwilling to treat a stranger. she'd done so before with many others. [break][break] one brow twitched, signifying the irritation. suddenly a single foot slammed into the ground, hands on hips. "well maybe it sucks because people like you ruin it! nobody likes a no—good thief!" she pointed towards him, an over-exaggerated gesture that nearly caused a loss for balance. [break][break] the final had gotten to her. the boy might've expressed adoration in his own insult, but, the girl wasn't having it. "hey!" a sudden object was throttled forward. another potato emerged from the basket and in the direction of the other's face. [break][break] hands clenched side—by—side. [break][break] "stop stealing! you can't do that!" she expressed, glaring at him, "didn't your mom and dad ever teach you that it isn't nice to steal!" and then— the entire basket flew forward in one violent and messy twirl.

she stood before the villain, her hands settled above knees, desperate to ease the race of her heart and straggling breath. [break][break] "how... dare you!" nephele said, still drained but gradually returning to normal. she'd heard thieving stories from her mother, but this would've been her first encounter. the nearly devoured potato that was being so intently eaten caught her eyes. she marched forward, not exactly harmless given it might've looked comical to the elder point—of—view. [break][break] "these potatoes belong to me and my mom! get your own!" she'd reach to snatch the basket. of course— it probably couldn't have been that easy. [break][break] "go to another village why don't you! steal the potatoes there! the people here work hard for potatoes!" her unrelenting attack about potatoes continued. although it couldn't have been the most delightful of meals, it was all they had.

it was never perfect. [break][break] the reticent little town obscured by an unsettling tale. the venture that was taken to go elsewhere. the few lives that could manage on whatever managed to grow. [break][break] truly— there was nothing extravagant about the beginning. but who was nephele to know of the outside. all she had was this... and it was exactly this that was perfect to her. one happy family in a quiet part of the world. untouched and at peace. [break][break] "i'm heading out!" the little girl shouted from the frail wooden door. she left without a response, her feeble hands holding dearly onto the basket. crimson stood out to all that witnessed the light enraptured by the brilliant shade. bare feed silent against sturdy earth. [break][break] the market place was the life of the village. it was nearly always bustling with activity. her expression dazzled with excitement at the array of fruit and vegetables. the sense of responsibility she got just by being here was nice, alongside those that were familiar with her visits. 'nephy! here for some potatoes?' one of the owners called. [break][break] she trudged towards the friendly man with a small smile. "yes! i'll take ten please!" the pouch of the ragged dress shifted in the movement. it was a slim amount, but, just enough for what was needed. however— as the objects took their descent into the basket, a hand reached forward. the bed of silver caught her attention as the figure left. "hey!" she shouted, grabbing the basket with haste as she chased the thief. weaving through the mass of chattering townsfolk and knocking over various things in the process.

NAME: satan soul: eifa's voice [break] SPELL TYPE: debuff [break] CLASS: d-class [break] DESCRIPTION: the whispers of an evil creep from her figure like a gentle breeze. unrecognizable and moving characters begin to move across visible flesh. those within a (30ft) range will start to feel slightly ill (ie: nausea). however this is only if those look in her general direction. [break] COST: 10 [break][break]
NAME: satan soul: eifa's horns [break] SPELL TYPE: buff (active) [break] CLASS: d-class [break] DESCRIPTION: the growth that emerges from her head is a pair of two long horns. her nails also grow sharper alongside the entirety of her reflexes. nephele is able to run at (35mph) while these features are present. however this shift does tend to make her sanity go elsewhere. it can only truly be resolved if either horns have been broken. [break] COST: 10 / 5 [break][break]
NAME: satan soul: eifa's deflect [break] SPELL TYPE: defensive [break] CLASS: d-class [break] DESCRIPTION: a darkness grows upon the pair of hands, causing them to become demonic. nephele stores energy within this shift and uses it as deflect against oncoming attacks. she can only stop one d-rank spell and 50% of a c-rank spell. anything else higher will break through. [break] COST: 10 [break][break]
TAKEOVER ORIGIN: the name is seemingly a derivative of a figure. one that was most certainly her mother but— at the same time was not. eifa is the only family that nephele had. it was by distant companionship between a human and a demon that allowed this promise to so secretly exist. the pair were never related by blood and the girl did not know it. after all they had shared the same bright red eyes. [break][break]
however— no matter the quiet little life they led, eifa was a demon that brought trouble. her previous relationships with humankind sparked hatred between her fellow demonkind. she was forced to live in solitude with the little girl she'd promised to protect. but— it wasn't just demons that were desperate for the riddance. the reticent village in the middle of nowhere was under siege by knights. corrupted and vile individuals that were paid off for something grander.[break][break]
eifa took the girl with her. nephele was badly injured and their pursuers weren't offering them any leverage in the chase. although the demon was powerful against the mages— her forte was not to aid the injured. to fully carry out the promise she had made, eifa sacrificed herself in order to keep nephele alive. forcing the girl to devour her soul and awaken her eventual powers. the influence so immense that she'd forgotten it all and her beloved mother.[break][break]
full form description: the entirety of eifa is brought to life. long long horns, dark wings, demonic hands and the ever—dancing curse. her pupils visibly disappearing beneath the brilliance of the red. given the pair had already shared relatively basic characteristics, nothing in shade nor' size changes. she is now the living shadow of a forgotten demon.
[break][break]
partial form description: anything that does not take the entirety of all features would be partial. such as her horns only being present or her wings. sometimes both can be brought forth but that would still not be the entirety of eifa's form. lower—classed spells just beneath b—rank would be an example of these appearances.
👹 — in a village with no name. with faces that once held relevance. all were wiped away as quickly as she could fathom a single breath. the dangling cross is the only pinnacle of such horrors. she is alone as she opens her bright red eyes. one girl surrounded by the absence of company in a dark and snow—fallen forest. soaked by blood.[break][break]
👹 — nephele was discovered by an older man who eventually ended up as her family. however— her lack of control in regards to her magic ended up killing him. these unintentional outbursts misplaced what hope she had once held. she was misjudged wherever she went and the murder of her guardian roused nephele as a criminal. unsurprisingly she quit the idea of companionship.[break][break]
👹 — unintentional harm became intentional. those of another evil lay hidden among the masses, disguised as righteous citizens or even guild mages. she gave them the riddance they deserved but— never the exposure the people needed. she'd given up convincing people where the bad truly settled. it was up to them to figure it out for themselves. what was right or wrong.
